Disgraceful. Simply awful.

Location, beach towels with bag
(Please note I've been coming to Cambodia for six years, and lived here for three.) Things that didn't work: Hot water A/C| Wifi Elevator Bath drain One morning my girlfriend wanted to walk to the shop across the street to buy something. She was stopped at the front desk. They thought she was a . (Believe me, you can tell the difference.) One day the door wouldn't open. Staff were able to open the door after removing the BROKEN GLASS. We realized where the glass came later when my girlfriend couldn't find her $120 bottle of perfume. My guess is that the cleaner decided to try the perfume and then broke the bottle Preposterously overpriced. We couldn't check out and go to another hotel because it was a holiday week, so we were stuck there. Not a 4-star or a resort, just an average hotel. Surliest, laziest staff I've encountered in six years in Cambodia. The place is fairly new, but it looks shabby and rundown. (Rust on the light fixtures INDOORS.) The workmanship is laughably bad. It looks like it was built by children.

Looks stunning, location
The Hotel looks stunning in the first place. Unfortunately the quality is not there where I expected it e.g Leakages in the shower flooded the bathroom, door look system needed to be fixed, WIFI kept disconnecting. The breakfast is very basic e.g. there is no milk, just milkpowder for the coffee.

tidy room, beautiful swimming-pool- cute staff

tidy room, beautiful swimming-pool- cute staff
Tidy room, good service, the buffet breakfast is not multi-coloured, the smell of chlo from water in swimming-pool is very strongly.

Amazing room for the price. But noisy at night.

Room, staff, location
This is really a great hotel. The bed was super comfy. The walk-in-shower has one of those overhead shower heads, which is nice to come home to after being out in the day. Just don't get confused with which way is hot and cold. I went half a day thinking there was no hot water because I'm stupid and can't operate a water level correctly. The staff are SUPER nice and helpful. Both with me and a couple I was traveling with loved them. Had to rate the food a 3 because there is no other choice -- but I have no idea as I didn't eat there. Only one issue: Noise. Don't let the tranquility of the name, "Serendipity Beach" fool you. It's a HUGE late night party scene, and the bars are shooting off firecrackers and have ultra low boom bass speakers going till 4 am. So bring earplugs...or go party with them like we did our first night.

Breakfast was shocking, I advise to get a room without breakfast included, and eat at one of the cafes up the hill. Much better quality/value. The room was adequate but never cleaned properly (ants, hair, sand all over the bedroom floor AFTER the cleaning staff had been). Hotel staff were relatively friendly but uninterested in guests and pretty unwilling to help with advice. The WiFi barely worked, and when it did was weak. I'd rather be told to pay for higher quality.

Decent hotel but terrible stafc

Near the beach. Large rooms. Quite clean
The hotel could be in par with international standard, but the staff is pretty rude, refusing to send a car to the bus station. The rooms are very large. It is almost on the beach. The swimming pool looks nice but unfortunately the building is hiding the sun.

Reverse ATM

Proximity to beachfront
Sand. Yes, a beachfront hotel, but surely a thourough sweep could rid the upstairs rooms of sand? Signage. Yes, it is a family hotel, but the prominence and frequency of signs was gratuitously overdone. Breakfast. Limited, and even if there is nothing left, you get charged. Harassment. No, not the hotel, but by tuk-tuk drivers who perch like vultures on their machines and yell at if you even approach the hotel doors. It is annoying, frustrating and uncontrolled and does not make for a pleasant stay.

Cool Pool

Very pleasant lady at front desk who organised ferry tickets. Great pool which was especially nice at 7am. Attractive building.
Excellent location with easy access to the beach, the pier and restaurants. Local shopping and massage was also good. Extra coffee and milk was given when asked for. The bath was great and the hair dryer.
