Centrally located.

Location, soft bed, historical
Didn't get much sleep first night as a function was being held. People running around outside rooms and banging doors. Room was not value for money.

sub standard service and paying a high end price.

beautiful building, lovely fixtures and central location.
not the best. upstairs area extremely hot and no air con on. room smelt musty even though appeared to be clean. no service at all. bar and resturant closed so had to go out and look for a place for dinner. breakfast facilty was help yourself and very basic. cereal and toast. fruit supplied but was not fresh. for the price we expected a lot more. on the up side it is a magnificiant building with beautiful fittings throughtout.

no words to explain without being rude

only 1 thing and that was that at least our room was clean (but heater did not work)
sorry i cannot recommend this hotel. The front no longer has the balcony as shown in pictures making it harder to spot from the road and it was all locked up and appeared derelict. We drove around the very neglected back and walked around trying to find an enterance or person we made a phone call to the hotel and a women opened the broken door and walked us through. Looking around we were prepared to sleep in our car but actually the room upstairs was not too bad for our one night stay.

Freindly staff, central location, easy to find
Not what i expected. I didn't realise there was going to be a night club start up at 10pm. I was there to stay the one night to get up nice and early for the hot air balloon ride in the morning. Needless to say a goodnight sleep was impossible. This should have been advertised. The ear plugs on the reception desk was a sign of something to come. I simply cannot explain how loud the music was, luckily it did it finish at 12am. However, it didn't stop there, the after pub noise was just as bad with fights etc.. and running up and down the hotel stairs. A romantic week-end it was not! The restaurant did not even open on Friday night we were there. This was a shame as the staff could not do enough to please you, they were very customer focused and so freindly. The hotel has a real back packer feel about it. It is old and the air cond did not work. The bed was also two singles pushed together. So all in all we had little sleep and froze to death....apart. It's hard to recommend this place.

Noisy, dated decor

Close to hot air ballooning
Noisy due to our room overlooking the beer garden and bar nearby

An honest country hotel, friendly service

Helpful friendly service
Good for an over night stay, not far from the airport for hot air ballooning etc clean rooms, staff were very helpful they even invited us to have dinner with them (restaurant closed Sunday nights). Old style country hotel in a nice country town.
