For those who are familiar with the 6th of October City, it is situated 30km south of Cairo. Not too long ago, it was once a desert. Egypt government has done and is doing a marvelous job to urbanize it to cater to residential and factory needs. Sheraton hotel is an oasis to see to this continuous transformation. With a major theme park right at its doorstep already. Sheraton is poise to become a major highlight of this area. Service wise, Sheraton staff has been hospitable. During my 5 days stay, they called me to check if everything was alright. I responded positively. The rooms are cleaned up to my standard, the staffs were helpful and have a good command of English. There were no unpleasant incident during my stay. I am satisfied.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
In Egypt in general- When arranging sightseeing, confirm exactly what you are paying for. Sometimes, upfront you may be told a certain amount but one may end up paying a few times more. Ask who pays for the camel ride, entrance fees, waiting charges, parking fees and so on. Avoid suggestion like going to some places that you are not really interested.
