Great location

Convenient location

The hotel is connected to an underground walkway to Shinjuku Station, which made the rainy days more pleasant. There were various places to eat in the area (soba shop, Subway, pub, Japanese restaurants). There is also an area on the way to the station with many Japanese restaurants and a few electronic shops. The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building is basically across the street from the hotel, which provides an awesome view of Tokyo (and is free).

Small rooms, but great service

Great service
7.7
Upon checking in at the Shinjuku Washington Hotel, our room was quite small compared to North American hotels. We asked at the front desk if there was a larger room available. The person working at the front desk was very helpful, and for a small additional fee we were able to move to a room that had a bit more space. The hotel is conveniently located, the rail system was easily accessible to get to other areas of Tokyo for sightseeing. There is an underground walkway, however it is a short walk (about 5 minutes) from the Shinjuku Station to the hotel.

i find this hotel good value for its conveniences. I took a limousine bus from narita airport and it stop in front of the hotel. also there are some popular restaurants at the basement where you can have breakfast or late dinner.from the basement you can walk all the way to the train station and all the surronding departmental store.room rate is reasonable, the room is small as in most japanese hotel room. it also comes with free WIFI.
Restaurant Tip: there is a restaurant which serves good noodle breakfast for about 600 yen at the basement.

Very nice hotel, great location

Great location. Small but comfortable room for good price

Easy check-in, late arrival was not a problem. Room is not very big, especially with lots of luggage but it was comfortable for 2 nights- all we needed. Clean and well-equipped. Friendly staff and easy check-out and walk to Shinjuku station through accessing the underground walkway. Would recommend this hotel for a short-stay in Tokyo.

Convenient location

Close to station, numerous restaurants in hotel complex
8.7
i booked this hotel due to the reasonably low price, proximity to shinjuku station and that the airport bus drops off at this hotel. the rooms are small but i expected that in japan. my room comfortably fitted me, however it would have been very tight for a couple. no wardrobe space was provided. the tv had limited channels, all japanese. lan internet was provided there are numerous restaurants on the bottom 3 floors (rooms commence from the 4th floor). watch for the corridor in the basement that leads to a group of decent places. the indian place oferred good, large set menu plates for a cheap price. there are also 2 convenience store, one in the basement and on on the first floor. the lobby is locatd on the 3rd floor. shinjuku station is about a 12 minute walk, either straight down the street or head underground and take the tunnel straight there. there are plenty of shops and restaurants in and around the station
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: For train travel get yourself a Suica card from the station. Much easier than buying tickets each time you travel. They are valid for the JR and Metro lines and you can top up their credit in the machines you purchase them from. They do require a 2000 yen intial purchase with 1500 for travel and 500 for a redeemable deposit on the card. The turnsle readers can read the card from inside your wallet and will display your remaining value. The cards also work on some vending machines. If you decide to purchase tickets for each trip, just pick the cheapest fare and put the ticket through the fare adjustment machine at the other end to top up the correct amount. Many of the locals lso do this.

Tiny Rooms

Location close to Shinjuku Entertainment and Shoppoing area.
5.3
the size of the room was tiny. suitable for corporate workers who have been working late and are looking for a place to sleep before returning to their workplace. room window does not open and aircon system was overly hot, and the room was stuffy.

Adequate Single Size Room

Easy Access to Shinjuku Station
8
Room is good size for single stay, especially in Tokyo. Many resturants within the building, including a convenient shop (Family Mart), therefore no need to go far. Easy access to Shinjuku Station either above or via underground - just ~8 to 10 minutes leisure walk. Moreover, have direct Narita Airport Limo Bus stand right at the door step of the hotel, reservation can be made via hotel reception. Check-in is a little slow, but check out is easy (via machine - just insert room key card and print receipt automatically). Surely will consider staying again on my next visit to Tokyo.
Restaurant Tip: Fresh Made Noodle (Soba) shop at the basement of the hotel is very cheap and delicious --- JPY 300 for 1 big bowl or JPY 500 to 600 for Soba and Rice Combo set. Cannot believe I can get that kind of price in TOKYO.

Neat but small rooms!

Friendly staff and airport bus stop at the front
7.3
The Airport Limousine Bus service(orange bus)stops right in the front of the hotel. Tickets can be purchased at the counter in the arrival lobby of Narita Airport. There are some interesting restaurants at the ground and sub-level. The sub-level connects to a network of tunnels which leads to the nearby train station. There are staffs with different language capabilities, good news for travelers who do not speak Japanese.
Shopping Tip: Not all ATM machines in Tokyo accept foreign ATM cards. Prepare cash ahead of time before arrival.
