New Hotel with high standard

Good and big room, very clean
the hotel is outside of the town, but if customers have the van rental, there shouldn't be any problem

Hotel average intersting sightseing

Breakfast, cleanliness,good rooms
No internet and no wifi, no international TV channels (for news) make the stay a bit isolated and not easy. The city is worth a visit while in Myanmar as there are pagodas around and the imperial palace in the city.

An oasis in a harsh city.

View from our room (12th floor corner room), clean, comfortable and a hassle free 3.30 am check out.
Thoroughly enjoyed our large comfortable room with magnificant views through a curved wall of windows. Lucky enough to view both sunset and sunrise over Mandalay.

Poor value for money.

Friendly staff. Clean Room. Can't think of a third.
Even though the staff was helpful and friendly this hotel was very overpriced for what you get. I would get to breakfast relatively early (Buffet style) there was always trays that were empty and not being refilled, trays that were cold (half of them were cold one morning) I almost always had to ask the staff for for a cup or a glass because there were no cups or glasses left on the trays. I usually had trouble getting hot or even warm water for my shower. The internet was slow (not the hotel's fault). However the room was always cleaned well and the beds were comfortable. The staff were great any time I needed help with something so that helped make up for the price. It was my experience that most hotels in Myanmar are overpriced so be prepared when you go there. (Still worth going, especially the temples around Bagan in the morning)

very good hotel, but restaurant is a joke

clean and spacious rooms, friendly staff.
We had a very nice stay in this hotel, rooms are amazing, we re with 3 people and had the family room, which is huge! Very nice bathroom, although we missed some lights, as the bathroom was very dark, for the rest very good. Staff is friendly but english is poor. Restaurant is terrible, have potention and staff is friendly but they have no idea what they are doing, walking or sitting around, every thing was gone or almost empty an hour before breakfast ends, I had to fill up plates myself! They gave my a couple to fill up! We had to ask for everything, and everything was cold ect, I am a restaurant manager myself, and I really would like to take this team under my wings, as they have to learn a lot!

Not great value for money

Friendly Staff. Clean Room. Can't think of a third.
The staff was friendly but this hotel is way over priced for what you get. The breakfast was a buffet style and even though I would get there relatively early there was always trays that were empty and not being refill, there was always food that was cold, (they seem to have trouble with the concept of how warming trays worked) I almost always had to ask the staff for a cup or a glass because they had not refilled the glass/cup tray, this was despite the fact that staff was standing around. I ended up eating toast for most of my breakfasts. I often had trouble getting hot, or even warm water for my shower. The internet was extremely slow (Not the hotel's fault I am sure) It was my experience that all the hotels in Myanmar were overpriced so it is hard to fault this particular hotel but forewarned is forearmed.
