This resort is recovering from a building collapse which had killed one tourist. The buildings effected have been barriered off, however, there is a lack of management, and supervision. We booked into a pool villa, and having Ignored the reviews from pre June 3rd, thought that it will be okay. When we first arrived, the resort had apparently just reopened following the closure. We were disappointed by the amount on debris on the beach, lots of plastic and glass bottles, which had been washing up. Although after a comment to reception, this appeared to be dealt with. the resort has suffered by a lack of maintenance, which is evident through out. The jacuzzi bath was not used, as there was green algie in one of the nozzles, and stunk when I filled and flushed the bath. I then bought a cleaning product, but still didn't use the jacuzzi bath, after cleaning. The staff were pleasant, however, they are not all Thai, which isn't an issue, but there is not the friendly culture that I have been used to at other resorts. Ultimately I didn't use our pool villa, other than a bed room. The resort has a great potential, which has been let down by poor buliding standards, poor maintenance, and non existing management.

Traveling to explore
I traveled Koh Chang for 6 days. I stayed at different resorts in this period of time. My stay at Siam Beach Resort was dissapointing to say the least. These are the reasons i found it disapointing. 1. Value for money: the facilities are beautiful but not well maintained. 2. The breakfast was ok. But it was lower quality ingredients and the presentation not so good. Plus side 1. Staff really helpful

The worst hotel I have ever stayed at
The hotel is falling apart from doors to blinds to the shower and even when you order a orange or pineapple juice and you get cordial with tap water for sure what a joke People pay an extra $10-$20 more and get a hotel you can enjoy and make your holiday enjoyable wouldn't stay there if you paid me

Run down, bad service, rude staff.
Checked us into a room that was so dirty and not been cleaned. The room was trashed and also a blocked beachfront view. We asked to change rooms and were then taken to the room we were expecting on the beach front, but then had to pay extra. The rooms are very run down with no care taken to keep the condition good. It feels pretty soulless. Also they never take away your plates when you've finished eating as they're all too busy on their phones & to lazy to take care of the guests. Seems like nobody cares at this resort anymore. There's plenty of hotels on the island with much better rooms and service for the same price. The location itself is amazing, as is the beach, which any one can goto anyway. When we checked out the staff did not give me my deposit back for the room and when I went back to ask all became quite rude talking under the breathe, as if I was the one in the wrong. I suspect they run this scam all the time, as people forget to ask for it back as they are leaving. They did not give it to me back. Just pretended to fumble around with some paperwork until I left. Pretty disappointed with the experience.
