Nice calm location

Good location, breakfast was good and staff were very friendly
Good. Except for the air conditioner which didn't work in the day time because of low voltage. I feel they should have installed Generators. But since I didn't spend much of my time during day time its Ok

Silk Cotten Resort

The hotel room, the air conditioning and the beautiful grounds
I was wonderfully surprised especially that I had air conditioning. It was absolutely beautiful and the grounds were gorgeous too. Just like the photos on the website. The member of staff, a young man, was fabulous and I felt totally looked after. However, the only fly in the ointment was what happened leading up to mid night. Bearing in mind people stay because its close to the airport and many will have to get up for an early start, I was amazed that a family and children were running riot around the pool as if it was the middle of the day. I would certainly have expected the manager of the hotel to sort it out but it was left to me to get up and out of bed and to ask them all to pipe down. I had to get up at 4am and so I was not happy by this at all. However, I left feedback and I am sure that my comments will be taken note of as it seemed such a wonderfully run place

A lovely well cared for place to stay

The hotel is only 10minutes from the airport. The rooms are spotless. The staff are very well trained.
What can I say about this place? We arrived and it looks like a very large home of an affluent person. The rooms are in a separate building to the main house being set in a beautiful garden area. There is a lovely large swimming pool and while we were there we were the only ones using it. When we were taken to our room it was large and spotlessly clean. It has a television showing some English stations .tea and coffee facilities a fridge and a safe. There is air conditioning and a fan to cool you down. It has a separate dressing area and a large bathroom with a shower which had lots of hot water. They did not provide evening meals but there were a number of take away menus in the room and we were told if we wanted to order in just to let them know and they would order for us. Breakfast was served on the balcony of our room and we were given a large bowl of fruit , toast, eggs and tea or coffee. The table was laid with a table cloth which was a nice touch. In the evening we walked down to the beach which took us about 30minutes (my husband is 72 and I am 62 so if you are younger could be less) It is down hill all the way and we took a taxi back which cost 200 rupees. There is not much at the beach , a hotel a few tourist shops and about 4 or 5 restaurants. While we were at the beach they went into our room and provided a turn down service. There had been a cover on the bed when we arrived and this had been removed and a lovely soft blanket replaced it. They also refilled our tea and coffee which we had used and cleaned the bathroom again as we had used the shower. This is better service than you get in some 5 star hotels! The only down side for some people would be the noise of the aircraft as the hotel is very close to the airport and the Indian airforce use the airport for training. However it did not bother us and my husband was quite excited to be having his own private airshow!

Good for one night stay, before catching a flight!

Cleanliness, Staff, Proximity to the airport
We were welcomed by the owner herself. She's a warm lady - walked us up all the way to our room, made us feel at home! There was a bottle of wine in the room, for us. I really appreciate the gesture. Meals are set and one can choose to have it or not. A caretakers and a cook do an excellent job of keeping up the place. There's a nice and small swimming pool and the whole place is a fairly large estate - one of those large bungalows in a peaceful locality. The downside is - there is no public transport to be seen around and the beach / restaurants would be over a mile away. Mind you, Bogamalo beach is a dirty beach and you can't really compare it with most of the other beaches in Goa! Owners husband is a very nice guy too! He dropped us to the beach the night we stayed since we wanted to eat out. Next day, he also dropped us to the airport. Overall, a nice place to stay the night! Frankly, I won't stay here for a week long holiday. There's a lot more in Goa to go and see!

Very nice and very noisy.

Staff,cleanliness and gardens.
We only sray the one night. The owners could not do enough for you and speak excellent english. The place is very clean and tidy and though small has a very clean pool and gardens. The major negative about the place is it's location. It's about 2klm from the beach and it seem the same from the military airbase. Military planes are practicing ALL day. Extremely noisey! The Mosquitos were plentiful at night.
