Great value for money
This was my second time staying at Serene Silom and it was great just like last time. The room was big and clean and the bed, comfortable. The decor is a bit outdated but every thing was well maintained and all functioned well. The hotel's location is superb as it's a short walk to Saladeang Station and the night market is just two minutes walk away. I also particularly like the fact that they only asked for your credit card details but didn't do preauthorisation of the funds which would take so many days to be cancelled.

Great location!
Hotel was above my expectations in terms of service, cleanliness and staff. The location is super close to the market and the sky trains so I was easily able to get about as a solo traveler. Felt really safe and the helpful staff even helped me with my heavy bags and called a cab for me. Very happy lady all round. Thank you!

Good value!
I chose this hotel per location. The amenities are ok. The building is aging and could use a refresh. Rooms are large, clean, and near the sky train station.

Great location, walkable from the busy areas and Sala Daeng BTS station but in a quiet soi so its not too noisy or busy. Gym is a bit old but still acceptable though air conditioning needs to improve, broke down on my last day, really have no desire to work out in a sauna. Other days are quite alright though to be fair. Pool is fine, small but not crowded, sun tanning only a small 2-3 hour window due to blockage by adjacent buildings Breakfast food is repetitive but not fussy eater so its fine, don't expect a huge spread or some fine cuisine, just a quick bite before you hit the streets. Service staff are good, from the restaurant staff to the receptionist, conceirge, chamber maids...all are friendly and helpful. Room was big and spacious...we even have plenty of space to spread our wet clothes (from Songkhran) on the floor to dry, which is faster than the clothes line in the bathroom. Bed is good, TV is ok, air conditioning is good. Not so good - wifi is a bit slow but still acceptable if you are not doing big downloads or video streamings The bathroom is big and nice, only thing that really irks me is the poor design of the bath tub where they have a half glass panel at the front instead of a full shower curtain. Admittedly the shower curtain don't look as nice but it does keep the water from flowing from the bathtub to the bathroom ground and making it wet every time some one showers. The shower direction be it front, back or side (against the wall or the glass panel), will lead to the water flowing from the bath tub top edges and draining so perfectly onto the bathroom floor. Unnecessary cleaning for the chamber maids too! Should just stick with a simple shower curtain that does the job.

Totally fine with 50% discount. Central and accessible. Old interior. Old AC makes room very moist. Be cautious about this hotel having smoking rooms! Specify in booking requests or you will most likely end up in one. All in all a ok place for proximity to silom. If you travel for hotel facilities there are better and cheaper places in other parts of the city. Also hotel has a visitor policy if you're bringing home company.
