Very friendly staff
Friendly staff, easy location, nice terrace
A great place to stay if you're taking a morning ferry from Koh Lanta. The staff was always ready to help and answer questions about the island. The room was quite small and basic, but that's what you can expect for this price level. Note: bring earplugs and your own soap - there's no soap in the room and one can hear the neighbor snoring and early morning ferries coming and going.

THE place to stay in Saladan Village / Ko Lanta
Hammocks with a view to relax - Very good value for money - Close to shops and pier
I truely can recommend this place when on budget. Best value for money for budget stay in Saladan village. Owners and staff care about their guests, and you will feel welcome! And are always open to give you recommendations or to book anything you need. I was a little bit concerned about the smell that was mentioned in a lot of reviews, but a) sure all restaurants, ho(s)tels, shops on this side of the road are build on stilts above the water and sure nature has its own smell b) however the smell WAS NOT bad as mentioned by a couple of reviewers. I truely enjoyed my stay there and laying in the hammock reading a book with a cocktail while watching the sun setting down and the boats driving by was great! For booking I can recommend room No8 - the sea view room, which has an own hammock reserved for you - worth the money if you plan to stay couple of hours also during the day.

Prime pier location
Staff, pier-terrace, food
For us the Sincere Guest House was a good spot to explore Koh Lanta. It isn't located on the beach but has a beautiful pier-terrace, which we really enjoyed. The owners are really helpful and friendly, they even booked a bus-tour (which was cheaper than somewhere else) for us and guided us to the shop next door to rent the motorcycles. We highly recommend the green curry fried rice (chef's special) - watch out though, it's spicy! The rooms itself are very basic, but clean, bathrooms don't have any power sockets for shaving etc.. AC worked perfectly!

money grabbing greedy insincere and arrogant in
the view over the river and leaving can't think of another best thing
From the moment the owner realised that we were not interested in any of his tours his attitude changed so he either sneered at us or blanked us every morning on our way out which I didn't mind in the slightest as I disliked everything about him he gave off this air of him being superior in reality he was insincere arrogant and greedy he overcharged every morning for coffee his rooms were a bit grubby and had no fridge the overall experience was quite awful. And we were happiest when we left.

location, helpful staff and great food
Booked this place last minute coming from phi phi - it was in the pocket guide and saw good reviews on agoda. On arrival we found our name on the blackboard welcoming us. Sincere is right by the pier (on wooden stilts) so perfect location having arrived by ferry. We sat in the hammocks whilst waiting to check in. Our room was very clean and comfy bed although no fridge, air con and fan and hot powerful shower although takes a little while to get the temperature right. The guy who runs the place, King, was incredibly helpful giving us tips on what to do and where to go. The food was really good, especially fried eggs on toast. Definitely recommend this place and to rent bikes and see the island! Will be staying again when we return

good views,next to the pier
common terrace is right over the sea, just about 100 m from the pier, welcoming staff
It seemed to fullfil our needs as we were staying on lanta just for 1 night,so location seems really satisfactory, although it was far away from the beach. The room was small,i hadly could sleep and my partner as well,as no window to the outside and the dark furniture made it rather depressing. The quilt was thin. But we came out alive( my partner's joke). Should confess the view from common terrace really-really made the place worth staying in. For 1 night.

Genuine, small and lovely guesthouse
Owners, view and coffee
We were pleasantly surprised at arrival. Only a few steps from were the ferry's dock and 2 minutes from were everything else happens. It is a small but cozy place built over the water in old fisherman village style. The rooms are small but nicely decorated in an subtle way. There are problems however, the pluming and the proximity to the ocean wares down any place, and maintenance is a never ending. But that it self is a part of it's charm to stay in one of these old houses. The owners, a young couple are attentive and keeps the place running tip top and efficient. Good English skills from both husband and wife and they are more than happy to help if they can in any way. We stayed at the room with it's own terrace and we only had on minor problem. The bed and the springs in the bed made our first night a bit hard. But when we pointed it out the next day was taken care of straight away without questions. So that is service from my point of view. The staff it great and the food to only not the biggest menu but service and the view from there terrace over the sea makes up for it by far. And the coffee needs it's own line in this to long review. There are nothing that can be faulted there. Perfect is the only word that springs to mind. And as a farewell gift there was to beautiful lattes waiting for us after lunch. Thank you for a great stay and hope to see you again. If you want to stay in a genuine old fisherman house, with great service, lovely owners and wonderful coffee. Then you can't miss with this one
