Weird but decent value

Location is good, close to busses and bars/parks/restaurants
Warning, checkin is only open to 10am then from 5/6pm. This wasn't mentioned in the listing so when I arrived nobody opened the door for an hour, then someone showed me the manager phone number, who then asked the name of the person that had let me in. Weird. He then asked how big my bag was and if I couldn't just carry it around the city all day. Errr, that's the point of getting a room :) You have to manually fill out a credit card authorization form, including your csv number, and sign that you will be charged $150 for key loss or damage. Ok, but there's nothing worth that much in this place! Weird to do it this way and not via a pre-auth using the card machine that they had, that every other hostel/hotel in the world does. Also weird when I went to checkout at 9:30 I was being hurried along inside the small room. And weird again that they refused to tear up the cc auth form when checking out, saying it was now a business record of who stayed and not to worry as they are a legit biz. I found and killed 1 large bedbug, and noticed the sheets weren't changed for the next guest as the 'death stain' was still there. I pointed it out and the sheets were changed. Hey, this is basically an international student dorm hostel, it's good value for where it is, the other guests are cool, the management are also ok (just weird). I'd stay here again. Just, weird :) If they mentioned checkin times in the listing, wrote 'this form is a customer record and will be kept' and didn't ask for the cvv card number (or pre-authd the charge), and hey - why not mention the $150 thing in the listing. If they did that, it would be less weird. But yeh, not so bad. Good location. Close to a park and a pool. Good value.

Below average and used

There didn't seem to be many people there meaning you didn't have to wait for a shower

expectet abit more from room that cost 79$

cheap, far, poor
there are 2 branches of this hotel in Sydney and eventually I booked room in one that close to the railway station however, on my arrival I was surprised that there was some mistake on the web thus I need to move to other place which is "just 5 minutes of walk". It happened to be 1,5 or even 2 km away and it took me another 10 minutes to reach it by walking. Room was poor fitted, small and old ( building as well as the facility) so, basically I was expecting something better for my 79 $... Very unlikely that I will ever consider to stay in this place.

Cheap and basic

Location price
Basic room but a good base for exploring. No fridge in our room and repeatedly had food stolen by students. The students also tended to dominate the stared spaces. They also didn't tidy up after meals so there were piles of washing up. It was basically a student house. Wifi is not free as advertised and was very slow.

10min walk from central station.

Clean, comfortable and convienent, good value apartment for accomadation costs of Sydney
We stayed for 3 nights with 2 adults and 2 children aged 7 & 9. It was pleasant and easy the only problem was the walk up hill after a long day out with tired children. It was only a $12 cab fare from Darling Harbour. It is great value apartment when you consider how expensive a 2 bedroom apartment or hotel room is in Sydney.

centrally located. close to restaurants.
Good location near restaurants and a few blocks walk from Central station. No on-site parking, & parking on street is hut & miss.
