Good stay

Location, big room, pool
It was nice but not wonderful. We were given 2 times the wrong room, and the food in the restaurant of the hotel is overpriced. The breakfast is rather poor. The rest is good, the jacuzzi was working fine, although with this hot climate it's not so useful

Not so good

Big only. Near the hotel has only seven eleven, no restaurant, remote place. Even u cant find a money exchange shop!! Very noisy at the night, the sound from dogs and hens. Dusty in the room. Many many monsquitoes!! The spa is too open, no door, no view, no privacy. The price is so high with such normal quality. It s not worth honestly.

A bit disappointed but some good points too

The Thai food is excellent here, both at breakfast and from room service. The traditional Lanna architecture and furniture invite a sense of peace too. Staff is quite friendly.
We got a great deal through Agoda so it was a decent value based on that price, but this hotel is not really up to their self-reported 4 Star rating. We had brown water in the spa, endless mosquitoes, and very friendly but otherwise lacking service. It's a lovely old hotel that's much in need of an update. The location is about a 20 minute walk from the city so it's not too far away but other than the 7-11 right around the corner (a big plus for me) there's nothing else within walking distance, and the hotel told me that to call a red car (like a taxi) it would be 400 Baht (generally 100-150 roadside), so after waiting roadside with kids a few times we just rented a car. Thai food is some of the best in CM (spicy and not too sweet or fishy). Family Room was spacious but the carpet is old and full of stains and the painted brick is peeling so kept sticking to us. The beds and bedding were comfortable. The worst points for us were the brown water with unpredictable temperatures and water pressure and the pretty severe mosquito infestation. The pool has only two chairs for the whole hotel. It wasn't horrivle and we really liked most of the staff but it's a three star and should be viewed and priced accordingly.

Great staff average hotel

1 Staff 2 Comfortable bed 3 Generous room size
Our stay was pretty relaxed. The staff were great, willing to help. Some language barriers but Guy the Concierge was terrific! Bed was comfortable. Shower pressure was bad. Doors had small gaps allowing mossies into the room. A little off the city but a quick ride into the heart of Chiang Mai. A 3 star rated hotel that needs renovation! For the cost, not bad value
