staff, comfort
The staff were very attentive. they remembered our enquiry about zanse schaans a couple of weeks before the trip and left us a note and a windmill on the day that we told them we would like to go see it. All we asked was whether it would be open. Very very comfortable place as well. Recommend!

Under construction

Location, amazing bed, great shower.
Lovely hotel in a great area but disappointed to arrive to find all of the downstairs under construction. Was given no prior warning and only a free coffee and juice in a cafe round the corner for the inconvenience. The day we left they had finished the works and it was beautiful.... Shame we didn't get to enjoy it. Having said that the staff were great, room lovely and an excellent location. Would return.

Amazing hotel. Close location to Museums and great food. They upgraded us to a suite for no charge! Room was immaculate. Classy but still modern. Will def stay here again next year.

Good boutique hotel that needs some fine tuning

Great location next to Museum Square and tram stops
Hotel is situated next to the Albert Cuyp market and within a 15 minute walk to Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum. There is a great bakery diagonally across from the hotel if you think the breakfast is too expensive. The staff at the front desk were extremely friendly and informative, but I did have issues with housekeeping. They come in to your room without even knocking (more than once)! I was appalled that they didn't even apologize and suggested I turn on the Do Not Disturb sign next time.

A bit disappointed

Comfortable bed, Rain shower, Coffee Maker
I guess I have to say that I am disappointed because I just expected more from the hotel. I had to give just a 3 for the food because I didn't get a chance to use the restaurant. It looked very nice, but when I got to the hotel at 9 PM, it was full with people who must have come from outside of the restaurant to go there. So, if you want to go to the restaurant, I'd recommend making a reservation. My room was very weird because it was in the stairwell and through another door, separated from other rooms. Then, there looked like there was a door to another room and I could hear other guests staying there the next morning. To be fair, the bed was very comfortable and there was a cool big rain shower, but when we entered the room, there was immediately a bad smell like excrement, but when I checked the bathroom, it just smelled like room freshener! So, I have no idea where the bad smell was coming from, but along with the dark-wood character of the room and an unknown white stain on the extra brown blanket on the bed, I felt like the room had a "used" feeling to it. The staff was accomodating, but not overly nice. Overall, nothing stood out as being fanastic and I just felt kind of creeped out by this hotel.
