Fast-paced Weekend in HK.
accessible location:nearby restaurants & eateries; along major bus routes.
nothing extraordinary.the moment we set foot on the building where sky dragon is located,we did not entertain nor expect beyond the usual that hostel like sky dragon house would offer.it was very basic,a room with aircon unit,a double bed,two pieces of tiny pillows, a smll blanket, a toilet cum shower with hot and cold water.no towels,no toilet paper,no drinking water, only two small empty glasses.its central location more than made up for the things that were not available, because these items could be obtained in the nearby stores for a price.eateries and restaurants with reasonably-priced menus abound within the vicinity of the hostel.nearby was the Temple Street Night Market for the cost-conscious tourists.

staff used my room to do their laundry
good location, but cannot recommend to anyone
Sky Dragon House Note: I am a Hong Kong permanent resident and have slept rough in Macau, Bangkok and HK. I use agoda.com as a source of comfortable-enough hotels/guesthouses in Asia and Europe, and the locations have been good-to-excellent thus far. Except for Sky Dragon House. I cannot recommend this guesthouse. SDH is on the seventh floor of a nondescript commercial building on Nathan Road, near the Jordan MTR station. Despite the cramped conditions, the Mandarin-speaking couple that run SDH appear to live in the tiny lobby. There's no air-conditioning or fan in the lobby, so I stand with my luggage while the woman fields numerous mobile phone calls in Mandarin and Cantonese, shouting with that uniquely Hong Kong volume-level. She's nice enough, just harried—takes a HK$100 key-deposit, I keep the receipt in my wallet. I arrived at 13:00, an hour after check-in. Yet my room, #702, wasn't made up. Her English was barely comprehensible but I think she said she was too busy to clean it. It didn't matter as I planned to leave my bag and go out to meet a friend. I figured it would be clean when I returned. It was, but the laundry machine in the bathroom was in use. Room 702 at SDH is the laundry-room. So as my friend and I sat around and chatted, the woman and her husband were in and out of the room, washing sheets and family-clothes. At least the air-con worked. Not only was “my” room used communally for laundry, but it appears to be a storage room for SDH. There are two TVs, a spare mattress, extra glassware and mysterious packages stacked in this room. I got one pillow and one blanket, both vaguely damp and moldy. The bathroom “door” is a shower-curtain, and the shower-curtain is...nothing. Hopefully you brought your own towels as none are in sight. Even for Hong Kong, exceptionally cramped/uncomfortable accommodation. At least the air-con and wi-fi work.

AVOID, terrible experience!
location of the hotel and checking out!
Seems like the page for this hotel has been updated since we booked via Agoda. From Hotel to House and they have added more photos of the place. They only had a couple when I booked. The reviews on websites on this place were generally OK and so we took a chance on booking here because w were looking for somewhere relatively cheap and central during a short stay here. However, we wished we just paid more for somewhere more comfortable and CLEAN. We knew it wouldn't be like amazing or stunning but we expected it to be at least clean and free of bed bugs/ticks. The place is easy enough to find, but with about 4 exits at Jordan mtr station, it can get tricky. It is near a bakery called Bread Talk. How it got the star rating it has is beyond me. I'd give this place a 1/2 a star or none, if I could! We made our way to the room and we were immediately greeted by a deep stench of mold. The room was absolutely tiny. Then we saw the bathroom - just a plastic sheet to give you privacy and a shower head was coming out of the walls. So where you go to the loo is where you shower too. No wonder they didn't have photos of the bathroom on the website. We wouldn't have booked the place otherwise. The photos of the rooms looked alright on the website, but in reality, it was small, and the bedding was dirty. Stained. I got tick/bed bug bites from my short stay here. Absolutely disgusting! We ended up checking out early. I sought medical help and the doctor confirmed it was tick bites and I had a pretty bad allergic reaction to the bites. For the amount of money spent on medication and seeing the doctor in HK, we could've stayed at the other place I had in mind! This was the first time staying in a hotel whilst in HK and it was terrible, it ruined the rest of the trip. I contacted Agoda about this and they would not help. This was the perhaps the first or second booking I have made with them, but it is certainly my last. They didn't seem to care about what happened
