terrible, not friendly staff, not caring, no interest in customer. For example at the restaurant i asked twice the menu, didn't arrive so had to take it by myself. Room was dirty, with the noise of train station,in the commun space, the floor was wet and nobody would do nothing about it.

receptionist dont know how to smile

I checked in late.The hotel might b very busy. was two lady in the reception and they put a very tired face. No smile at all.I find used soap in the bath room. And half empty bottle of water. I think they forgot to clean the room.
And its funny for a hotel to charge a taxi parking fee when they drop and pick ip the guest. All taxi driver i took complain about this and asked me to choose to drop outside the hotel, or give extra parking fee (3000) to drop by the lobby. Its not about the money... it just make guests feel uncomfortable IMHO

The Novotel Surabaya is without a doubt one of my favorite places in the world. Yes, it's in the middle of a large, noisy city, but in the middle of that, it is an oasis of calm and tranquility. The pool is beautiful and usually there is no one else around. The staff is attentive, the spa is affordable, and the rooms have been recently redone and are great. I could stat at this hotel for a week and never read the grounds. I highly recommend it to anyone who is in Surabaya.
