Great place!
Got a really good last minute deal, excellent cozy hotel in a really great area, lots of cool bars and stuff to eat literally out the door. Close to Shinjuku but with a really laidback vibe, the staff was lovely.

Good Hotel
Of the four hotels I stayed in over my trip to Japan, the staff here spoke the best English, and were friendly and helpful, printing off my bus ticket to get to the airport. In the entrance to the hotel there were lots of maps and leaflets which were useful for planning trips around Tokyo. The room itself was small (as is normal in Tokyo!) but fine, as we didn't spend much time in there, just sleeping. The hotel is out of the most central parts, but Asagaya itself is a cool area, with lots of quaint Japanese bars/restaurants etc. This area was actually one of my favourites in Tokyo! Transport connections are good, with the train stop right outside the hotel. Overall, value for money.

Well located hotel
The hotel is located near the Asagaya station. As a result, it is easy to travel by train to the many tourist sites in Tokyo. The rooms are very clean and the personnel is very friendly and helpful.

Great location, nice staff, comfortable bed.
Location is fabulous, plenty of convenience stores, cafés, restaurants and supermarkets around. Some lovely traditional shops, too; Asagaya is an old-fashioned part of Tokyo and has a nice little Shotengai (covered shopping arcade). Just a few train stations from Shinjuku, easy to reach from Narita and Haneda. And surprisingly quiet considering it is right next to the train station. The hotel has several coin-operated washers and driers which is perfect if you're staying longer than a few days. I've been staying at Smile Hotel Asagaya 4 or 5 times now and have already booked my next stay there. Nice and helpful staff, too.

Average hotel
The location of this hotel is appreciated. Located just beside the asagaya jr station. There are store and a mini mart also beside the hotel. The staff are polite but cant hardly speak english. Sign languge will do well. New airconditioning is being stall during our stay and have to change because of it. Nice place to stay but costly.

Wonderful place to stay in Tokyo!
The hotel is very near to Asagaya Station (~15 min JR line from Shinjuku Station). It is very clean and comfortable. It also had a massage chair.
