Good location, big rooms

Large room, nice spa and very good staff
8.3
this is the second sokha property that my partner and i have stayed at in cambodia. we were certainly more impressed with the staff at this one. they were polite, gracious and very assisting. the location on norodom blvd is very central to most things and yet quiet enough to be enjoyed. there is a fun open air bar and adjoining restaurant on the top floor. the spa facilities are modern, clean and well designed. the complimentary breakfast is from the menu and was of good standard and taste. we stayed in a deluxe room which was of a very good size and was modern and very clean.
Restaurant Tip: There is a very pleasant rooftop bar and restaurant at the Franjipani Hotel on the river front. Getting a table overlooking the promenade is a must.

Great location but noisy

It's okey
6.7
The staff are good and friendly. The room reasonably clean but small for deluxe. The breakfast not too bad is not all in there when it was on written. You have to ask all the time. You have to tell them so many times to make sure they do understand what you talking about. We have to tell them off twice or let them know we can't sleep in the night because of the loud music.
Travel tip: Not recommended the hotel if the travelers wants peace and quite.

Friendly & helpful staff always with a smile

Location was great for our purposes, convenient access to Thai Embassy, Central Market & plenty to do within walking distance.
8.7
Our purpose in traveling to Phnom Penh, was to obtain a 60 day tourist visa for Thailand. We chose this hotel from those listed with Agoda because of proximity & convenience to Thai Embassy and it is within walking distance of the local "Central Market" & also to the local historic Wat. I did feel the restaruant prices were overly expensive and the drinks menu in the restaruants had the same inflated price as those of the mini-bar in the room. You could step outside on the street and buy the same soda, etc for 1/4th the price charged in the hotel. You expect the prices to be approximately double, but 400% is out of hand. The hotel staff were always friendly & helpful and the rooms were comfortable and affordable thru the Agoda discount. The best rate at the hotel without the Agoda discount was nearly 59% more.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: The Central Market, a large outdoor/indoor vendor market is within easy walking distance, about 8-10 minutes from the hotel and likewise one of the area sightseeing attractions, the Wat Phnom (built 1372 or 1422 onward Wat Phnom, the namesake and symbol of the capital city of Phnom Penh, sets prominently atop an artificial 88.5 ft (27 meter) hill (or 'Phnom') near the Tonle Sap River in the northeast section of the city. Legend relates that Daun (Grandmother or Lady) Penh, a wealthy widow, found a large koki tree in the river. She hoped to use it for a house, but inside a hollow of the tree she found four bronze statues of the Buddha (and possibly a stone statue of Vishnu); she erected a small shrine on the site to protect them. Eventually this became a sacred site and sanctuary where people would make wishes and pray for good luck and for success in school or business. Another account of the founding of the wat suggests King Ponhea Yat (r. 1405-67), built the sanctuary (vihara or vihear) when he moved his capital from Angkor to Phnom Penh in 1422. The prominent stupa immediately west of the sanctuary, or vihara (vihear) contains the ashes of the king.

Nothing but good comments about this hotel

huge rooms, plenty of privacy and great location - not far from the quay, central market & other places of interest
8.7
I would highly recommend this hotel - the location is great, staff friendly & helpful, (English) language not a barrier and restaurant serves great breakfast. The rooms are huge, massages in-house & professional-great way to soothe after all the walking and plenty of privacy. Walking distance from Sisowath Quay.

excellent hotel and pleasant staff

center of Phnom Penh, inside peacefull

Staff very welcoming and charming. The room is clean and decorated to the standards of SOKHA Hotels in Cambodia. The two restaurants serve good food. When you are tired, the Spa is worth it to relax. sometimes their are parties in the restaurant on the terrace, this might give some noise, try to avoid a room in the upper floor. The restaurant managers where very helpfull with any question concerning the stay in Phnom Penh.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Hotel gives good service for a tuktuk driver if you prefer this transport. Not far away from the Royal Palace, Nationa Museum and the Central Market

this hotel fits with the standards of the sokha hotels in cambodia. do not expect the royal standards, as one of the managers explained: "it is a club", he was joking though. the 2 restaurants serve good quality and the jasmine spa is very good, the karakoe is not my thing, but it was busy there. the lounge is comforting, always a smile. wifi works, only the last day, there was a problem. i'm sure they solved that.
Hotel Feature Tip: The terrace on the 6th floor might have party's, try to avoid a room at the 5th floor.
