Simple but great.
Wifi kept dropping off. A bit noisy from the traffic outside but that did not bother me. Lights were a bit too dim but that was OK. Great for a quick stay. Sufficient and simple but very good.

Spoilt by excesssive Vehicle noies
The staff were good, the room was acceptable, the staff in the small cafe were very attentive and the food was fine
The Soleste suite would be recommended if it was somewhere else - not 10 metres from one of the main roads in Manila. As it is, it failed in the basics of providing a place to actually sleep. The traffic didn't stop and traffic restrictions mean that large trucks are restricted during the day, so they pour into the city centre overnight, right past my window(and I specifically asked for a quiet room!)

A comfortable, cozy home away from home
The friendly, polite staff; the comfortable, clean rooms; the free breakfast
I'm from Manila but currently living overseas. When I went home to Manila for an academic conference, I spent a few nights at Soleste because my home in Manila was far from the conference venue. I'm glad that I did so, because I had a comfortable stay at Soleste! I'd go home from the conference feeling tired, so it was great that I had a good night's sleep at Soleste's cozy, quiet rooms. I also enjoyed the free breakfast. Most of all, I appreciated the hospitality of Soleste's staff. They were very friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist me and answer my questions. I also liked Soleste's convenient location: it's safe, there are several restaurants nearby, and it's not too far from Eastwood, Ateneo, and Cubao. I'm grateful to Soleste for being my home away from home for a few days of my Manila visit, and I hope to stay at Soleste again next time!

Quaint little hotel in Quezon City
Food/Dining was great!, Staff service was excellent, Decent internet access
It was a good experience. The hotel's staff members should be complimented... from the front door guard, to the receptionist, to the always-smiling lady housekeeping staff. Food in the cafeteria was great and not too expensive. I especially like the Filipino breakfast -- portions were just right, and the food was tasty. Plus, they can take your breakfast to your room if you feel lazy to go out. My booking was for the single room, and it was tiny affair with no windows, but is okay if you're not claustrophobic. I was moved to a bigger room with windows on the second day, because something went wrong with the electricals in the other room,so that was an unexpected treat. The wifi was strong especially in the cafeteria/lobby. I would suggest, though that they install noise reducing fixtures in their lobby/cafeteria because when people talk a bit loudly, the echo causes me a headache.

Staff bent over backwards
Helpful staff, wifi, treadmill
A small hotel that's reasonably well located to get around Quezon and the universities (not metro Manila). My room was a shoebox with no window and a teeny wobbly table, but the wifi connection in the restaurant area and deck was excellent if you need to work. The area feels very safe, breakfast was good, there are some decent restaurants very close on Katipunan. But its really the staff, Chie and team, that make this place feel welcoming and cosy, rather than stuffy and remote. When I needed to top up my sim card the housekeeper came out on the street with me to ask the local shops (lesson: go with Smart over Global - easier to top up) - just be careful to hang the 'make up my room' sign on the door if you do actually want it cleaned.
