Hidden gem in Beitou!

Location, character, comfort
Spent the last time in Taipei in this hidden little hotel in Beitou. But we were so delighted to have found it! Full with old world charm, the owner retained a lot of the features like steep staircase, lights, bathroom door, ceiling fan, light switch & etc - very instagrammable! But it's not without the modern necessities like hot shower, air-conditioning, wifi, organic toiletries and so on. I must add, the bed is super comfy! There's no tv in our room by the way. So we spent the evening playing cards at the common space (they have 2 - one on the 3rd floor and another one on the ground floor. Our room which is situated at the end of the hallway could use better wifi connection though. Because we have an early flight to catch the next day, the staff was so kind she prepared our breakfast & left it in the fridge for us! The property is littered with books & magazines everywhere which I really like. The hotel is also a walking distance to the night market, hot springs and eateries. The room booking comes with complementary breakfast which is served at Solo Singer Life cafe across the alley. We wished we could've stayed longer in this full of character & retro feel hotel.

Sweet surprise

The concept , the staffs and the facilities
I love the interior design of the hotel. Find it refreshing. The hotel is located at the middle of busy market , yet they can establish a moment of peace n quiet. The staffs were very friendly n helpful.

Friendly staff, good breakfast, but high price

Friendly staff, good breakfast, old Taipei feel
The hotel is not easy to find. It is 10-15 mins walk to either stations. It is 20mins walk to the main hot spring area and the library. Price is very much overstated. It is old and room is very small. Anyhow, it maybe good for those who want to experience old Taipei time.

Ambiance, Staff Performance, Food
My stay at Solo Singer Inn was fantastic! The Ambiance generated by keep most old relic really made me felt like have stepped into a 90s inn with the design of floor tiles and such kept to the old style. The Staff Performance was great too as we really felt in-touch with them, being able to express our situation and then finding out the many great stuff in town. They even have their own self created map of town, clearly indicating where exactly are the attractions! The Food they served during breakfast was also very unique, highly recommended to try out their food and ambiance at Solo Singer Life !

One of the best hotel experience

Personal touch, local characteristics and tranquility
Excellent stay experience. A aged hotel has been rejuvenated by a team of youthful ladies and low profile artists. You need to really stay and live here to enjoy the attention to details that the hotel has prepared for you. I'll definitely come back to Solo Singer Inn again even my destination is Taipei City as the subway can easily bring me here in less than an hour. To Kate: You're the best. See you soon.

Quaint little place with a story to tell

Hotel Design and Building, Attentive and Friendly Staff
I like the nostalgic feel of this inn. It feels like every item in it has it's own story to tell. Hotel staff tries to promote local artists and businesses by incorporating their items as part of the hotel amenities/services. Good quality food provided for breakfast. Location wise... it took A LOT of effort for us to find this place. But once you find it, it's actually pretty conveniently located, can choose to walk to either Beitou or Xin Beitou. If nothing else, I would recommend staying here for a night, just for the experience. Take note that their wifi signal is quite weak in the rooms.

Great BnB

Customer Service and Efficiency
Very well operated. Only negative is a few very small ants because of building being so old. But clean and comfortable nonetheless
