Enjoyable Stay

Within Walking Distance of the Hobart CBD, Stunning night view and Hotel is comfortable
Hotel's location is brilliant. Very close to Salamanca Market and 5 minutes walk from Elizabeth St. Mall. The room was South facing and therefore the noise from the yard across the water was a little noisy by around 0900hrs. North facing rooms do not have such issue. The living room is nice and comfortable and the bathroom is spacious generally well appointed. The Restaurant did not disappoint with the foods ordered throughtout the stay. Overall, a very enjoyable stay and will definitely come back here to stay again.

the terrible night at somerset

Hotel comfortable, great location BUT the heating was stuffy. no fresh air access, which must be very unhealthy. The walls were paper thin. and I heard every discussion that our drunken neighbours had to offer all night . It was out last night so was disappointing and for that reason, I think I would try for another place to stay next time or maybe check that we had a room that provided some privacy/ less noisy guaranteed, as no sleep before a flight is not so good. Staff helped where they could, but at 1-5 am its not so great for the neighbour to complain.. Maybe some screening would ensure that the clients or your customers were aware that they had neighbours and should show respect for others rights. Difficult to arrange I guess. Thanks for the opportunity.

Comfy apartment right on the harbour

Location, Facilities, Free Wifi
We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights in the middle of Winter. The location is excellent: it is in a converted warehouse on the Elizabeth Street Pier which is within easy walking distance to Salamanca Street and the CBD. If you want to take the boat to MONA it leaves from the next pier along, which also has a great little coffee stand. The room we stayed in had two levels, with the bedroom upstairs and a kitchen, bathroon and lounge downstairs. There was a nice view of the Brook Street Pier which has interesting lighting at night. The hotel has free wifi which is rare in Australia and guests can use the printer in the guest lounge free of charge which also came in handy. Probably the only problem with the hotel is the limited parking available. While there are a small number of guest parking spots, we found that these filled up quickly. If you can't find a complimentary spot you have to pay $2.60 per hour to park your car, and to make things worse the machine only accepts coins!

Very pleasant, good place to base yourself for touring around Hobart. Some of the room amenities could use some maintenance or a freshen up.

Quiet weekend

Location, comfortable room,
hotel was nice. Very good location for all the things we wanted to do. Very close to Mona Ferry and Salamanca Markets. Only negative was the bathroom not being on the same floor as the bedroom. Not a big deal for us, but wouldn't have suited some people. Also, why do hotels have to put two beds together to make a big bed. Doesn't everyone end up in the middle on the uncomfortable join in the two beds?!
