Underrated romantic private beach

The villa right in the beach is amazing. You can either float in the ocean or chill in your own private pool which has a rinsing shower and shaded hut adjacent. The building is beautiful.
Very good stay. But due to the ocean current some trash can be swept close to shore. Don't worry it seemed to only linger for a short while. We could always see schools of fish in the water, wish I had a fishing pole. The restaurant seemed to be under stocked, but maybe his was due to non-busy season. Great food tho. Love waking up to breakfast in the ocean. Loved the beach which is very private, and we had it to ourselves most of the time. It's about a 15 min cab from danang downtown, but if you keep your villa stocked, there is little reason to go into the city.

Nice private beach & pool. But power cut suddenl

Beach, swimming pool.
We experienced over half hour power cut and no one gave us any notice or compensation afterwards. Limited food choices provided for breakfast. And no one informed us that the spa center closed earlier as it was not the peak season. We just had stayed there for one night. But frankly, the private beach and swimming pool are so great. People who love chilling in a private, quiet beach with nice sunset view will absolutely fall in love with this resort.

High hopes… Very disappointed!!!

Location, Garden staff.
The good: Location is great and tucked away in the beautiful hills and right on the beach Garden staff and maids are very friendly The bad: Terrible service from reception They don't have even a basic first aid kit!! (being a 20 min drive from Danang: if you hurt yourself, unfortunately you're outta luck!) Villas are in serious need of maintenance and care Mouldy mattress in storage cupboard in villa that made whole thing smell Mould in bathrooms and broken tiles Windows and doors stick and are very hard to open Pool loungers have no cushions and are old and broken Restaurant is extremely expensive and food is very average Taxis to Danang are about $15US, to Hoi An even more! Without a doubt would not stay here again and strongly recommend you don't either. We were looking for somewhere close enough to Hoi An and on the beach.. Taxis however are VERY expensive to get to Son Tra, so I'd say spend a bit more on a place close to Hoi An, and no doubt you'll make up the extra cost in taxi savings.. You'll also have a much better experience. We stayed at hotels in Hanoi that were 10 times cheaper (actually though - they were around $20 per night and this place was over $200!!). The rooms at the other places were cleaner, the staff absolutely incredible and the food so much better.. This place has no excuse. It COULD be truly beautiful if they put in just a little effort in maintaining the villas and training staff

Lovely but faded

Loved the location, the private pool and good vale
This resort is on great need of love and attention, many signs of neglect, but staff were attentive and helpful. Worst breakfast on record though! But best Claypots of fish and eggplant -seriously odd and inconsistent but we loved it! Chris

not worth it.

quiet,beach front
The hotel location is a bit far from town and the beach is not so fantastic. Breakfast not much choices. The room is big but not fantastic, dirty and have coakcroachs. You will need to take cab as their shuttle bus schedule is only 1 time/day, cab's fees is not cheap due to their location and also their running meter is jumping like " aeroplane", too fast. It costs us a lot of money on cab's fees.

Da Nang for the long weekend

Private pool, Huge villa, Beautiful clean small private beach.
Although the Son Tra resort is a little out of town it was beautiful to look back across the bay at Da Nang city. The resort is all villa type rooms with private swimming pools which is really nice even for the people with family's. The restaurant for breakfast has a lovely outlook onto the beach but the food quality and selection was quite poor. There is no real facilities in the resort I did not even see a bar so as long as you can get to town for food and drinks the villa is great for anyone who just wants to laze away the days by the pool or in the crystal clear ocean. Great value for money for us and we will stay again for sure.
