Good location one block below Avenida Santa Fe; staff very patient and helpful Had some problems with the card-key reader on the room and no hot water (both issues were fixed by simply moving me into a different room) This is a new, boutique style hotel that has a lot going for it, but with a few wrinkles to work out before I could give it a great rating. The style is very minimalist/industrial with art throughout the common areas and in the rooms themselves which give it a nice, contemporary flair. As noted before, the key-card reader on my first room didn´t work regardless of how many new keys were produced for me. The room also didn{t have hot water which was what ultimately made me ask for a new room. The staff was very kind about the problem and seemed to be doing all they could to fix the door key reader. After one day of trying, they ultimately upgraded me to one of the one bedroom suites which was extremely nice. While the regular room that I had first was completely fine otherwise, now that I´ve stayed in the suite, I would encourage others to consider spending the extra pesos on the suite. It was quite comfortable and made the stay more special. If someone was interested in staying in the Recoleta area of the city, I would recommend considering the Design Hotel.

The owner is an architect involved not only in the buisness but in all the details like having one person of the staff per guest, or in the lighting and atmosphere in general. The deep pool is only part of the design,you can not use it because it is in the middle of the restaurant. Since 1994, when this Hotel was constructed, me as an architect desired to stay in this hotel as a gust. Not only as a student that regulary visited it, to consume some images that inspired my work.
Now that I been there for the last weekend in a renewed room, I think that the best way to enjoy a place during the trips to Argentina is to stay in boutique hotels like this one, where the design resists more than fashion and time, such as this result of using precious and noble materials.
