Moreno Hotel is a mix of perfection and defects. Very good locarion and a beautiful building, with pottery on wall and a nice terrace for breakfast and leisure. It's noisy, just around its corner there is a popular club, where people stay inside and outside with high volume music and sometime screaming. My room was at second floor and cars in Moreno street don't save me from noise. The room was huge and beautiful, as well as the bath, but a stink come from the drainage. Staff is friendly, even they weren't able to reserve a taxi for me on dec 25th. Breakfast good on roof top. During my four nights staying on december 2012,

Go for the J Room with jacuzzi
Great rooms, helpful staff

We stayed at the Moreno for a few days and had the bigger room (J Room) with the jacuzzi in the main room which was amazing after a long day spent at the airport.
Pros - the rooms, the cool lift and the staff.

Modern Charm in the heart of the city.
Service was impeccable, staff was incredibly helpful, rooms were very tidy.

we arrived late at night and the staff was incredibly helpful in getting us to our room. whatever information we needed during our stay, the staff accomodated our request. the free continental breakfast was sufficient, but breakfast service was lacking. the location is great, with just a few minutes walk or cab ride to most sights in the city. overall, a great stay.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Sunday markets run right by the hotel.

The hotel is beautiful. Very modern. The rooms are enormous and spotlessly clean! Location is good for central sightseeing and access to several Subte lines. Location is not good for restaurants and bars. Not many within easy walking distance. Seems a bit dangerous to the south. Would have liked to have stayed there two additional nights, but they did not have availabilty.

Bueno Moreno!
We loved the building which was mostly historically intact. I loved the Art Deco tile lobby and the contrast of the huge,modern,very comfortable rooms. Beds are consistently comfortable(Simmon's Beauty rest ,pillow top,the best). Rooms were found to be very clean and maintained that way.The wire cage elevator is most charming central feature. Hotel staff is discreet,and helpful. San Telmo barrio is my favorite neighborhood. Hotel proximity to Defensa street Sunday street market and Plaza De Mayo subway,taxi venues a big plus for this hotel.There are many restrurants near by with in walking distance.Street was patroled by police at night. We felt safe at this Hotel and area.

Restaurant Tip:
There are many good resturants in the immediate vicinity of this hotel and the walk at night on Defensa Street is most romantic at night on the way to and from our hotel. We felt for the most part safe. There are many Tango preformances as well as musical cafe prefoprmances in this area too.It felt the most like being in Paris at this site.

A great building in one of my favourite parts of Buenos Aires, fantastic big rooms with modern décor and fittings. Helpful attentive staff and nice touches like the stock your own mini bar.
Travel tip:
Defensa, which is just around the corner, is one of the great streets of the world, especially on a Sunday.

Hotel Moreno - Great Hotel
great value for money, excellent location, my room was very large and well appointed, beautiful architecture, amazing old lifts, polite and helpful staff with perfect english.

this hotel is excellent value for money. my room was very large and very well appointed. everything worked well. the service is also excellent and the staff are very helpful and speak good english. the location in san telmo is easy walking distance of the great restaurants and bars of the area. overall, i would highly recommend this hotel.

DAS Hotel in Buenos Aires
zentrale Lage - in 5 Minuten ist man auf der Plaza de Mayo

Die eher unauffällige Fassade des Hotels verrät nicht, dass sich darin sehr grosszügig bemessene und äußerst geschmackvoll gestaltete Zimmer befinden. Auf dem Dach des Gebäudes befindet sich eine Terasse, von der aus man einen atemberaubenden Blick geniessen kann. Das Hotelpersonal war sehr freundlich und sprach ein ausgezeichnetes Englisch, was in Südamerika nicht immer der Fall ist. Es war das beste Hotel, das ich in Südamerika Besucht habe.
Restaurant Tip:
Wer Buenos Aires besucht, sollte keinesfalls verpassen, eine Parilla (Grill) im Restaurant La Cabrera zu bestellen: das Restaurant ist sehr geschmackvoll dekoriert, das Fleisch zergeht auf der Zunge.
