Location of Viamonte Hotel is excellent: walking distance to many city highlights, easy bus/subway connections to La Boca, San Telmo, Recoleta, and all parts of city. Breakfast was superb: lots of choices including meat, cheese, yoghurt, fresh fruits, pastries. Free internet available all day.

"Kitchenette"...this consisted of a mini bar and microwave, no dishes or utensils (altho these could be obtained in the hotel restaurant. We stayed 4 days, 2 of which the air conditioner leaked; it was a weekend so didn't get fixed...we got a bucket to collect the water.

Our stay at Viamonte Suites was satisfactory based on the fine location and great breakfast. The room was definitely not a suite nor were any available in the hotel. Beds were good, personnel helpful and friendly, and the room was large. During the last 3 days of our 4 night stay, the air conditioner dripped (loudly) continually. We were given a bucket to catch the water but no tech was available to repair it (weekend). Bus, subway connections were very convenient and we walked to many major interest sites.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If traveling beyond Buenos Aires, take overnight buses: the first class ones have fully reclining seats, serve dinner with wine, and are comfortable and safe....very good value for the price.
