Good location in erms of being near beach and Boa Viagem contacts. Good breakfast, free. Internet free.
Beds need to be replaced as one can feel the springs. Rooms a bit small especially for 2. Fitness equipment needs to be replaced.
This hotel was recommended to me by one of the people I work with in Recife due to proximity to their office. The proximity to businesses in the Boa Viagem area is good but it is at the north extremity of the area. I found found the service lacking during some of my visits. This time it was acceptable but it seems to depend on who you get rather than being consistent and friendly across all employees. The beds need to be replaced as one can feel the springs. The rooms are small, especially if you have 2 people. There is hardly room to put an open suitcase. The breakfast is good, internet connection this time was good whereas in the past it has been intrmittent. For the price it just suffices as most hotels in that area are pricier.
Travel tip : There is one of Recife's best restaurants, a pay by the kilo buffet of traditional food 3 blocks away.. Called Parachacha's but spelled something like Paraxiaxxa's. Ask at the fron desk.

Clean, modern, good quality of the meals
Close to a noise traffic street at night
The hotel is so well located, just two blocks from the beach that it was much comfortable for us to go back and forward any time. The breakfast was well suited, with natural and fresh fruits and lots of different items, unfortunately lunch was simple and the menu did not have much to choose from. The city and the neighborhood was safe.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Go to Olinda, just fifteen minutes drive and you will be impressed for the colonial architecture of the city.

Overall, my trip to Recife was pleasant. As I said, the staff at the hotel helped in that quite a lot. I do want to caution travelers to Recife, there are things there around the hotel that may come as a surprise to someone who is not familiar with certain types of living conditions. Going to Recife was the first time I was exposed to such a large amount of street people and "beggars", Man powered trash carts and, what seemed to be, homeless people. I was also surprised to see the amount of government and private security around the banking institutions.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Make your way around Recife on foot. It's very educational. Of course, a person should have an open mind.
