Modern, Tiny Rooms, Overcharged Me, Not Impressed.

modern, updated throughout, but that was the only impressive or good thing about the place. extemely tiny rooms, you will bump into some piece of furniture whenever you try to move about. when i went to checkout they charged me for taxes (city tax) that i had already paid for in advance when i booked and paid through agoda.com, i had no choice but to pay it again. i won't stay there again.

Great location with nice ocean view
ocean view, cleaniness, cons- wifi does not work! (although it was advertised as free wifi)

it was a pleasant stay overall in good neighborhood. it is located only 2-3 blocks away from the famous copacabana palace hotel. the ocean view from my room was beautiful.
although the neighborhood is much safer than centro, you should not walk by yourself once it gets dark. hotel staff told me it would be safe to walk around, however i got my camera robbed near the beach.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Corcovado, Botanical Garden(it takes 20-30 minutes by cab ride, 20BRL), and Ipamaera are amazing .

this is a well-placed hotel in copacabana close to the beach. possible to walk to many places and conveniently located for getting around the city. metro is close by. only real downer was that there is no free wi-fi in the rooms. it's 30 cents a minute! to get it free, you have to be in the lobby.

our room was comfortable and we found everyone that understood english very friendly and helpfull. swimming pool, although small a plus point.breakfast although excellent, was a bit monotonous. they should also mention on their web, that they have a counter in the entrance that can arrange transfers from the airport to hotel and back.

Book your shows and tours at the hotel front desk, much cheaper than booking on-line in advance, e.g. Samba Shows and Sugarloaf Mountain full day tours, you would save around US$30 each if you book at hotel front desk.

This hotel is right on the beach at Copacabana, just two blocks from the Copacabana Palace and plenty of restaurants. In short the location is perfect.
Service was of a good level too, they found us a room at 9am on New Years Day when our flight arrived early.
The rooms however are very small and not very well laid out. The rooftop pool has a great view but was rather dirty throughout our stay. Breakfast was nothing great either.
