Pleasant and comfortable..
Friendly and helping staff, clean and hygienic rooms, excellent breakfast, centrally located, close to beach, public transport availability at all times.

Nice and comfortable, I was given early check-in as requested, thanks to Agoda and the front desk staff at Atlantico Copacabana Hotel. Very understanding and helpful young gentleman at the reception who could communicate in English.

Good Location and Great Service

The hotel is quite classical and not brand new.
But I like this hotel because staff are so kind and helped me in many ways.
10 minutes walk from the beach and next to a subway station.
Highly recommended.

The hotel is in a good location only 2 mins to the beach but the standard is 2 star at best.The front desk isnt very friendly. The rooms are dated and scruffy, The bed linen stained the bathroom dirty. Not recommended

getting tired and worn around the edges

I have stayed at the Atlantco over 30 times in the past 6 years
the location, 4 blocks from the beach, across the street from the metro station, is very convienent. This past year, they have concentrated on their oter hotels they own and fired most of the long term staff and the service and more importantly the facilites have really gone downhill! Examples: In the past years in 4 different visits, one of their two elevators hasn't worked the whole week! this makes for very long waits and crowded elevators. A/C not working in the rooms, hot water intmittitly in the shower on a consistent basis. The pillows and mattresses are better suited to a dorm room. When the rooms were in the dollar range maybe some of this could be excused but now with the rooms or more higher, there are many other better choices available
Travel tip:
the 09 and 10 rooms are on the back side(no view) but way quieter than the other rooms which all face Siquero Campos and Tonelero which are very busy streets

The Hotel is a quiet good choice for everyone, the Environment around is a little shady but still no Problems, Taxi organised from the Hotel is very expensive
[but even very comfortable :-)]
All in all it is an good place if you want to do some Sightseeing or shopping which is possible because it is close to the main Shopping Street, 5 minutes walk to the Beach is still no problem, the Pool on the Rooftop is beautyful.
Breakfast is very good and the cleanliness is very good! Even if you travel with Children it is a good choice!

Atlantico Hotel is going downhill
Location, 4 blocks from the beach, across the street from the Metro(subway)station. Helpful staff.

I have stayed at the Atlantico over 40 times since 2001 and the hotel has become increasingly shabby. Many things in the rooms don't work, no matter what room you have. the seals around the windows have big gaps letting in all the street noise from below and it sits on a very busy interection and about 1 block from the entrance street to a favela

The Hotel was very well situated and the staff was very polite and helpful in all ways. The Hotel was clean and had a nice Swimming pool on the roof along with fitness center. The room was big and with nice bed. Some of the furniture and the doors need to be renovated. the bathroom was big but only with shower. The shower was dark but good
