great location, friendly staff, great breakfast. clean room, hot water all day
only one small elevator, very small bar
I stayed at the Augustos hree nights while attending a conference. I did not spend a whole lot of time in the room but it was more than adequate and the price was right. A friendly and helpful staff, getting cabs, info, etc. My room had no view and in Riuo that is a downside. Nevertheless, if you are looking for a great location and great price the Augustos is it

Close to Beach, Friendly staff, good breakfast buffet
Not best view of the city or beach
I enjoyed staying at the Augustos. The staff was great, the rooms were comfortable, and the location was great. It was a great value for a mid-level tourist hotel. Although it wasn't on the beach (Ave Atlantico) it was a safe and short 3 blocks away. It was under a 5 minute walk. Rio was great this time of year and the hotel was nice. Don't forget to fuel up at the free breakfast buffet. Also, the rooms had a small fridge.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Very close to beach and an easy taxi ride to Sugar Loaf.

Location was good and the breakfast was great. workers were friendly and helpful
Charges of 40 real per day for 4 batteries for use of the safe in your room. Huge cost for use of the internet. Pool was app. 10 ft. by 15ft. and uncleaned. us$2.5 for small bottle of water in mini bar, no water provided
The room itself was large and clean, the hotel was quiet but 4 blocks back from the beach with people sleeping on the sidewalks and always begging for money so you had to endure these everytime you left the hotel. The free breakfast was very nice with a good selection of fruit and juices as well as eggs and cereal, yogurt and breads

-Good location. Close to everything.
-Excellent breakfast buffet.
-Good size room and very clean.
-Staffs at the front desk are not friendly and don't have much knowledge about the area and tourist attractions.
- Jacuzzi is not working.

Helpful staff, Well cleaned rooms
Convenient location to beach,to Metro and to shopping
Good breakfast
Location of TV (position with respect to chairs/bed). Absence of remote for AC making it difficult to adjust. Breakfast although good is unchanged and monotonous. Extremely small swimming pool.
Augustos Copacabana Hotel is located within easy access to the beach and to the Metro but since it is two blocks away from the beach, its rates are very competitive. Although the Hotel is somewhat old, it is well maintained and kept clean. Its staff goes out of its way to be helpful.
The roof top swimming "pool" is however far too small and the beach is a better alternative. On the whole a good place to stay for the budget traveller who can live without access to a decent pool.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The one day tour of the important attractions of Rio offered by the Hotel through tour operators is good value.

The hotel is noisy. If you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs.

Well located, just 3 blocks from Copacabana beach, the hotel is organized, has a wonderful breakfast, and various options on the menu room service, which is available for service until midnight! There are services like wireless Internet on all floors, and Bussness center with printer and fax. Employees are people, and found the room very comfortable. And the cost-benefit outweighs the other! Amei!
Unfortunately, the pool was closed for the period in which I was staying, but who needs a pool when it is hosted in the city that has one of the most beautiful beaches of Brazil?
I loved my stay at Augusto's Copacabana Hotel. From the reception we had on our arrival we were very happy. The hotel has a structure and organization beyond what I expected, is located in a city that allows us to walk through the nearby streets and get a taste of daily Carioca, a few bars, pizzerias, restaurants and supermarkets nearby.
Restaurant Tip : On the same street as the hotel, toward the beach, there is the Bar Devassa, a good tip bar / restaurant for those who enjoy good beer and tasty snacks! I've been a fan of the product, and when I came across this happy coincidence, I was very happy! If you go is the Augusto's Copacabana Hotel, be sure to visit the Bar's Devassa! I recommend the Redhead!
