Rio in general is poor value for money for hotel rooms - old hotels, worn out rooms, poor infrastrucure - and very expensive for what you get.

Ipanema Beach is beautiful, but the local wandering sellers are quite annoying and will not leave you alone. We found it easier and more relaxing to stay by the pool.

Walking distance from great fashion stores, juice bars and of course Ipanema beach.
- Travel tip : The Expand Wine Store and restaurant is a good choice: you buy your bottle of wine at the store and enjoy it over your meal at no extra cost! The bacalhao risotto is excellent!
