on the beach, with free services for the beach like a beach umbrella;helpful staff who are Conversant in English. It was good for us as we did not understand Portugese very well.
leaking toilets;they charge extra for beach facing rooms;no kettles or facilities to make tea in the room; something that most hotels in Australia give

It was a pleasant stay. Having read about the reviews , we were quite wary, but were pleasantly surprised. The Hotel is located right on the beach and is easy to find. The staff were courteous and helpful,some of them going out of their way to make sure that our stay was comfortable. Breakfast was lavish , though, we being vegetarians would have liked more fresh fruit. I was a bit disappointed that they charged for the use of the safe box; but then nothing got stolen from the room while we were there. The bathrooms could do with some attention- the toilets leaked and there was no bath tub.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The beach is awesome!

Excellent location, and good breakfast.
If you're not careful, you may end up with a room with no view! Small toilets.
The location is near perfect, just facing the copacabana, not too pricey either. But make sure you insist on a sea view room, cuz they have quite a few rooms where the view outside is just a nice old dumpster, as opposed to Sugarloaf or Copacabana!

Location the best and sauna is great
It is nice and also the best hotel of Tulip group in Rio deJaneiro with the best location because you are right in front on the beach Copacabana but if you go on the right side you can go by 5min walk to Ipanema and after Leblon!We expected better party time in Rio but it is not nothing special,and less then this.The night clubs is not for suggestion,sorry but it is true!Anyway enjoy in the sun and go on a hang gliding if you are freestyler!Enjoy the Concorvado tour and Sugar loaf in one day in Rio,this the name of the tour and it cost 120 reals,about 40 euro!And a boat trip to Angra des Reis ,beautiful islands and beaches!And about the food, try Fejoada with tails and ears of a pig,except if you don't like cholesterol too much!!
