Lancaster Othon Hotel Rio De Janeiro Info
What better way to experience Rio De Janeiro than from spectacular Copacabana Beach. The Lancaster Othon Hotel enjoys a prestigious adress on Avenida Atlantica, right opposite the beach, and puts visitors to Rio in the heart of the action. The value-for-money rooms are spacious and well-appointed, featuring superb views, particularly from the higher floors, while the surrounding neighbourhood is an eclectic mix of lively bars, restaurants, and cafes, plus a seemingly endless choice of shops and boutiques, selling everything from souvenires to designer labels. Although its easy to while away a visit to Rio on the beautiful beaches, guests of this remarkable city should not miss a visit to the enormous statue of Christ The Redeemer, atop Cordova Mountain, offering sweeping views of the entire city.

The hotel is centrally located in the first go to Copacabana beach promenade with a nice breakfast restaurant overlooking the water. Large rooms and friendly service. Wonderful breakfast. Many good evening restaurants are nearby. Shuttle bus stops at will, just outside the hotel.
It is an older hotel, where only some rooms have a view and balcony facing the water.
The hotel is a small hotel with moderate prices, but beautifully situated. There is clean and neat. Breakfast is included in room price, in contrast to what was written on our voucher. From the hotel one can be picked up by Truck Tour with a guide to various tourist sites in Rio. Alternatively, a metro station nearby. You can use the hotel beach mats, chairs etc. on the wide and inviting sandy beach.
Shopping Tip : There are good opportunities for shopping in the streets behind the hotel and there is also a tourist office nearby in a back street 10 minutes walk from the hotel.

Location, location, location, great bed
that one can not be sure of getting a room with views, but we were lucky
Location was the discretion available probably not much better in Rio, with the price and the room was quite ok, with a separate living room with sofa and table and the bedroom had a huge bed, and there was a balcony with a lovely view over the Copacabana beach. So it can only be recommended even though it is older, so there was plenty of room, clean and nicely
Travel tip : which is not far to the metro, it can nåes to 5 minutes on foot, and is probably the best way to get around Rio's different areas / attractions
