Couples February 22, 2012	Great location, excellent meals location to beach, meals 8.3 very helpful and pleasant front desk staff. curious long ugly bedroom - reminiscent of boarding house dormitory - comfy enough bed - room for almost 3 more king beds in here. or a ping-pong table and bar. couple of very odd ceiling lights whose switches were hidden on the face of a defunct radio unit - took me three days to master the tactile art of turning them on/off!!! what a stupid system!!!!! tiny bathroom. have to almost stand on the loo to open the door wide enough to pass through. ghastly toiletries. superb gushing shower (having come from water-saving melbourne). very inconsistent (though free) wifi. very good spread for the included breakfast - excellent endless coffee. hotel suggestion of "viacopa" day tour was superb value - they really took great care to give you a good rio experience. great caipirinha maker behind the mezzanine bar - yum! final 4am checkout efficient and painless Restaurant Tip: Make sure you savour the caipirinha from the mezzanine bar - or get one brought up to the rooftop pool area.

Couples Colombia, March 23, 2011	Good service and perfect location Very close to the beach, especially to the Copacabana Beach (about 5 minutes walking) and Ipanema Beach (10 minutes by car) 7.7 The Hotel is very clean and staff are friendly. The hotel is close to many attractions such as "sugar loaf Mountain" and Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. The breakfast was good enough to start your intensive day visiting Rio. Restaurant Tip: There is a fairly good restaurant very close to the hotel in the same block where you can buy food per kilo (this is good if you dont have enough money).
