completely not memorable
the breakfast was quite nice...

the hotel mundo was over priced, i got a room at the back facing a wall. the rooms were small, in need of a renovation.
they have no place to freshen up if you come back to the hotel after checking out (late night flight) and the staff seemed pretty ambivalent at the front desk...the only guys that seemed to do their job were the valet staff..

The rooms are so-so in a so-so hotel in a so-so location with a good breakfast if you like lots of fruit and not too much else. What stood out was the willingness of the staff to help, and one front-desk employee, Emmanuelle, is a national treasure.
Restaurant Tip:
Around the corner and a long block's walk towards town is a less touristic street with interesting but confounding (for a tourist) restaurants which serve the food you select by weight. It takes some figuring out but that's why we travel, right?

Novo Mundo Hotel
Close to Flamengo, where I had to work.

They gave me a dark first floor, where a general air condition engine made noise allnight long. I complained so they gave a decent one next day.
Travel tip:
Cable internet provided for free. ( they sell you the wire!)

目の前が公園とビーチで、有名な観光スポットも窓から見える。朝焼けがとっても綺麗。
メトロのカテチ駅まで歩いて5分もかからない。レストランやスーパーもあり、とっても便利。
ロビーも部屋も綺麗で、心地よく滞在できる。
スタッフも親切で、英語もできてよかった。
近くに国内線の空港があって、窓から飛行機の離発着を眺めるのも、飛行機ファンには最高かも。
朝食は充実していて、フルーツも沢山あって、オススメ。
