This budget hotel five minutes from the famous Flamengo Beach offers great value for money close to the cultural attractions and commercial district. The Rio`S Nice Hotel in Rio de Janeiro has spacious rooms with well maintained bathrooms and satellite TV. The on-site restaurant serves excellent regional and international dishes and leisure options including a rooftop swimming pool and sauna. The hotel is located in the Arcos de Lapa area, close to buses and within easy reach of the metro station, and the Santa Teresa district with its vibrant night life.

Good price, large room, nice breakfast. The location of the hotel is not the best but you just need to be mindful of the surroundings and be careful. A supermarket is located across the street. The room has a small refrigerator. The room is very basic, but it is clean and large. While I was there, the temperature was close to 100 degrees F. The air conditioning kept the room from being too hot but it was still quite warm. Good value for money in Rio. Staff is very helpful, and checks me in early at 10 a.m.

not as dangerous as i thought. cheap and good enough as a cheap budget hotel. if you can't speak a word of portuguese, it could be a bit of problem communicating with them. Being in a dangerous area (as commented in other sites), there were lots of restaurants cafes around the hotel until late at night. also there are couple supermarkets and pharmacies across the street. close to lapa where the most interesting night life's going on in rio as well. if you are on budget travel and want the real Rio rather than ipanema, it's good for the price.

good location in old town, close to Flamengo and Botafogo to large supermarkets, good value for money, attentive and friendly reception, a simple but clean hotel some renovation, small pool pleasant hotel with good value for money, great pool terrace - but small pool, breakfast basic but ok, clean rooms
Restaurant Tip : "Porção Flamengo" in Flamengo, on the sea, fantastic Churrasceria, great service, excellent meat quality and a must: flambado morango! for dessert
