the hotel is situated down a quiet side road in an area of modern multi storey apartment and office buildings. there is a valet parking service. reception staff have english of a reasonable level for dealing with guests who do not speak portuguese. service is attentive. rooms are well equipped, including a free wifi that works. the restaurant is small but functional with buffet style food typical of the region. the laundry service was good, but as is common in the region there is no sunday service and clothes are returned the day after they are deposited - this can be inconvenient if you are moving every few days.
Travel tip:
There are few hotels in Alphaville - it will pay to book early. During my visit several folks arrived without reservations and had to be turned away.

As a frequent business traveler in North America and Asia, I've stayed in many mid-range hotels like this. I'd say this one is in the top 20% in terms of comfort-level, servcie, and food quality. The only drawbacks are 1) the Internet service is very hit or miss and 2) there is not fitness facility on site. Otherwise, its an excellent option if you are visiting Sao Paulo for business and need to be in/near Alphaville.
Restaurant Tip:
Two fantastic options are Fogo Da Chao and Figuiero (both in or near the Jardims area)

Great frontdesk staff. Friendly. Good English. Extremely helpful.

Wifi is not particulatly stable. Also it is quite slow. It was not available at all for 1 of the mornings.
Got a small swimming pool at the roof top. But did not try it. It looks more like a juccuzi.

This is not recommended for business travel. After a late flight and arriving at the hotel near midnight, and having a meeting early the next morning, i was told that there was not a single iron / ironing board in the whole hotel. i could send my shirts to be pressed, but they would not be ready until later the next day. I therefore had to wear wrinkled clothes to my meetings. Room service messed up my order twice, which is probably because of the language barrier. There are only a couple people that speak english fluently. There are no public taxis outside the hotel which means you have to take the private one that the hotel arranges, which is over 2x the normal public rate.
