Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Convenient hotel in Jardins
Very well located and convenient flat with nice staff

I was looking for a place to stay in the best part of Sao Paulo for a cheap price, and I found it here.
This hotel has big studio appartments where you feel like at home, with separate bedroom, living with sofa, table, and bathroom, air con TV fridge oven.
The staff was nice and friendly.
Also the closet was spacious to walk in.
I recommend it.

Average deal for the area
7.3
it's 2 1/2 blocks to paulista.....straight uphill. the "walk" to paulista is nearer to a rock climb.
the hotel has a worn feeling. from the fading paint on the front door to the leaky plumbing. nothing major, but the age and need for maintenance is apparent.
self service laundry machines out of order. the room service is very limited. during a one week stay i saw exactly no one at the restaurant in the building. not one person!
the security is very good. this is very important in sao paulo.
the staff is a delight. the maid actually sang as she cleaned. the front desk staff was very helpful (though only one spoke english). all the positive staff attitude actually disturbed me...too much time in ny i suppose. imagine, folks who actually like their jobs and enjoy their customers!
i have stayed at about 10 hotels in the paulista area over the past few years. matiz is an average to slightly above average deal with a delightful staff.
Restaurant Tip:
The Middle Eastern restaurant "Arabia" just down the hill on the same street is very very good, though you will need your rock climbing equipment to walk there and back as the grade on Haddock Lobo must be 30%!
