Hotel looks nice from inside, including rooms. Beds are confortable and the complimentary breakfast is good. The staff is very helpful except when they try to set you up with a taxy (the taxy will charge you more than usual). The noise from your neighbors in the hotel and outside is horrible! It's like you don't have walls around you. You hear people slamming doors from the nextdoor rooms and all kinds of noises from the street. The vicinity is just like the slums so be careful at night. This hotel is cheap and confortable (physically). But beware of scams and don't show around your cameras when you're out. Like I said the noise is terrible so for people with nerve ailments, don't go to this hotel. The staff is nice and helpful. If you need a taxy, go out and ask the drivers yourself. Beware of the dollar to Real exchange rate.

Area at nigth is not that save.
Fire protection is questiable. The area arround the hotel is surprising for instance one street you will find many shops selling PC's and spare parts. In an other street you will find a lot of shops selling motor bikes.
The Hotel is close to Park Republica and you will find here a subway station which connect you to the full system.
When you arrive at the Airport you can take the Airport bus which stops at Park Republica. A walking distance of less than 5 minutes remain.
