Ok hotel with nice restaurant

We just stayed here for a couple of nights after a very long flight from New Zealand. The hotel is centrally located, just a short walk to the main square. It´s a bit dated, but the reception staff were very friendly, including booking a taxi for us when we were leaving. A major plus point is the Indian restaurant in the hotel which was excellent.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Take the cable car up to theviewing point (past the zoo) for amazing views over the city.

friendly staff and close to town centre

the majestic is an older style hotel but very comfortable. the staff is very helpful, but not all have a good grasp of english. it has a nice indian restaurant, if you like indian food. the location is downtown in walking distance to the metro, the plaza de armas and the market (with lots of eateries )all in all value for money.
