A beautiful monastery converted to an amazing hotel with good staff and all facilities - Comfortable rooms and clean linens, perfect setting for a relaxing few days in the Sacred Valley
This hotel is NOT in Cusco - it is 85kilometers from Cusco and cost us $70 by taxi from Cusco airport but it was still well worth the drive and stay - No English channels on TV was a weak point.
This was one of the most beautiful hotels set in the lovely old town of Urambamba - excellent service and facilities - good dining and a large buffet breakfast served early for our convenience - helpful staff, internet and hot tea (coca leaves which we needed for the altitude) available all day - the most picturesque place of our visit to Peru - We would highly recommend it -
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : This hotel is very central for the Sacred Valley - scooter drivend taxis for 50cents to anywhere in the town or local buses as little as $1.20 for a 2 hr drive to places like Pisac - a lovely town with an amazing market, ruins, church etc. local restuarants were good and very kind, helpful people - a great area to stay in - Ollamtambo Station not too far to catch the Cusco train to MachuPicchu -
