Good Price

Price, location is near my workplace, parking
4.3
I chose this hotel due to its location to my workplace. It is about just 200m away. Parking is also spacious as not a lot of people use cars around Coron. The room itself it okay but the bathroom needs a lot of improvement.

not worth it

comfortable bed, efficient air con, cable TV with English movie channels
5
The room was comfortable yet I have no reason to recommend this hotel. It is in the middle of nowhere and there's absolutely nothing within walking distance. Even a place to get water isn't nearby. This doesn't mean it's quiet though. Around 730am pop music starts being blasted across the area. There's also some sort of industrial building next door which makes a lot of noise. I came back after 10pm one night and the front gate was locked with a padlock. I had to bang on the gate and yell for somebody to let me in. Took 5 minutes!!! Laundry service - very good but cost about $10usd for some backpacker clothes to be washed. Also when I paid for it they didn't have change and I had to leave without getting it. They will bring free breakfast to your room but there's no table in the room to eat it on, nor garbage bin either. Every time I left the room they shut off the air con from outside the room, even though I turned it off inside, and then I'd have to find them to turn it on again, and they'd pretend the circuit tripped... Every single time. I ended up being sick (not related to the hotel) and had to spend a lot of time in the room. The king sized bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning very good, and they have cable TV with several English movie channels. Summary, comfortable, lacking table and garbage bin, middle of nowhere, awkward staff situation, overall NOT recommended.

budget accommodations

one of the best thing about this hotel are their staff
6.3
On our first day we were warmly welcomed by the hotel staff and the owner of the hotel himself. we talked for a few minutes. The owner's son in law inquired if we would like to tour around Coron and Busuanga and I said yes but I would like to hire our own boat so we could save a few pennies. This son inlaw recommeded us to one of his friends and so thinking that we could trust any person recommended by them, I agreed to their recommended contact boatman. Out first of the trip was great, no doubt. the sights in coron is simply AWESOME. On our second day in Coron, this boatman asked for a lot of additional fees. One of which is a TOURGUIDE FEES which was not on our original agreement. then he asked for a php 600 fees for each individual on our trip to PASS ISLAND, CALUMBUYAN ISLAND AND SUNKEN SHIP WRECK (coral garden). we were told before we that it would only cost us Php 300 per person and imagine how much their additional fees for this trip. I didnt argue with the boatman becoz we were in a strange place with my kids and my old father and i told myself that it would be wiser not to mess up with thesekind of people becoz they must really be desperate. Aside from these boatman fes issues, once my father was watching tv at their lobby/dining room

This hotel is for budget travellers

Stay were very nice and accomodating
7.7
The hotel is good for travellers who are not conscious on amenities. Everything was very basic from beds to the toilet. During our stay, the first night was horrible because there was no electricity in the evening and the generator wasn't working. This is a common problem in the area and many establishments depend on generators for power supply.

Accommodation was top notch

Staff were very very kind, felt like you were home
8.3
Best staff! Makes you feel you didn't leave home. They took care of all our extra curriculars such as boat rentals and directions for things to do. There was a power outage and as soon as we get in, the generator was fired up. Water was also out, and they personally, by hand brought buckets of water for bathing. I felt we were family visiting rather than guests just traveling along.
Restaurant Tip: KEJM Aquarium, they have cheap, fresh and huge lobsters for sale

lovely hotel and service with a smile

location is very quiet, away from the maddening crowd
5.7
the poor original owner gave up and leased the hotel management to some hotel operators. it is not entirely his or anybody's fault, but the damn government of coron. there is no infra-structure or very little done. imagine, brownouts are regular surprises and water trickles to drops. with the average temp at 32 to 34 deg c- hell is better to stay. the only glowing attraction are the islands around coron. the limestone formation, upped from the ocean depths are just fantastic, almost unbelievable. diving places are everywhere. food is so expensive because of short supply. busuanga airport is 23 kilometers away to coron and its runway is so short that only propeller-driven aircrafts can land. the hotel is new, but who can do business under these conditions? we have to tell our guests the truth, as agoda is a respected hotel scouter and only recommend and endorse the best for the money. cheers--- dante panganiban
