Location, the food outlets around and the free air port express bus shutter
Good. Just a lot of main land Chinese visitors with badly behaved children screaming and running everywhere.

Good location! Friendly staff!

Free upgrade to Premier room. Near to Mongkok East and Mongkok MTR stations and near to the Ladies market.
We were very pleased with our accomadation. When checked in we were given a premier room. Location was good!Easy access to MTR stations (Mongkok East and Mongkok). Will definately come again on our next trip to Hong Kong. The onle minus point is the beds were too hard. Anything else were perfect!

OK Stay

Location of hotel ,within walking distance to eateries & excellent Reception and Concierge.
Pros : hotel is in an excellent location (the very reason I book the Stanford as I travelled with my 88 year-old mother who enjoys such environment whenever we visit my elder brother in Hong Kong). It is within minutes of plentiful eateries. Streets selling a myriads of goods, from shoes, handbags, foodstuff, children's playthings etc, including a small wet market, are all within walking distance. Small buses ply the streets and taxies are easy to get. There is also a make-shift bazaar a few rows down the hotel. The Concierge was particularly excellent. Cons : the tiniest room I have ever stayed in Hong Kong and we travel there very often. There was no space at all to place our luggages. My elderly mother had to use one of the chairs to place her luggage. I am not a cleanliness freak but I did noticed that the room wasn't vacuum thoroughly and the wash basin had a layer of dirt covering it - it obviously wasn't scrubbed at all. Because the hotel is in an excellent location in terms of food, shopping and transportation, which would then attract loitering unsavoury characters, my personal view is that the hotel should have security personnel outside it, if not within the hotel compound. Even my Hong Kong nephew commented on this fact. Although nothing untoward happened during our 4 nights' stay, the hotel should seriously look into this. I have no problem staying by myself, but would not consider if my mother is with me. Note : We did not try the food so unable to comment although I indicated a "3" - neutral

Good service and comfortable room

Comfortable bed, Clean room, Good service
Its was our first time staying at this hotel in hong kong. It was a great stay. We got our room upgraded which was nice of them. We got complimentary fruits on our 1st day and chocolates on our 3rd day. That was sweet. The staff are able to speak and understand english. There are alot eateries nearby. It's about 10mins walk from the hotel to the mtr station. Bed was very comfortable and slept well. Will be back in future when visiting hong kong.

Excellent Hotel

Cleanliness, Excellent Service and Good Location
Complimentary upgrade to Premium room was most appreciated. Asst. Mgr Kevin and his Front Desk team (in particular Otto, Bosco, Andreas) deserve to be commended for their excellent service and attention to details, not to forget that sweet chambermaid who was on duty throughout our 6-day stay at the Stanford. Location and proximity of hotel to eateries, shopping and public transportation (MTR requires a slightly longer walk) were added advantages to this hotel. I was thrilled to find out that mini bus no. 12-S (bus stop at Kwong Wa Road behind the hotel) took us directly to Moko Mall and Olympian City (where dim sum shop Tim Ho Wan has been relocated). Personally, I prefer Dim Dim Sum Dim Sum which is located on Ground Floor, 112 Tung Choi Street (short distance away from hotel). On the whole the room upgrade to newly renovated Premium category made our stay at the hotel a most memorable one. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone planning a stay in Mongkok area, and will definitely book this hotel again on my next trip to Hong Kong.
