The place is okay but not value for the money
The staff only..
the place is near to Victoria wharf but it doesn't seem to be quite a safe place to stay especially if you would like to go out at night. The hot water is very limited, can't even fill out the bathtub and has to wait for 20 min for another tank of hot water. The restaurant is overly expensive with very small portion of food. I would not recommend to stay here for that amount of money and it is not a 5 star hotel seriously

Lovely Capetonian Hospitality
Room's large and well appointed, friendly helpful staff and not too busy.
Great stay at this lovely hotel. It is small and so feels quite boutique. Staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. The rooms were large and very well appointed - huge bathroom. Only 1.5kms to V&A or centre of town, with some great bars and restaurant down the road in Greenpoint.

Great personalized service in beautiful setting
Big room and bathroom, recently refurbished, friendly & helpful staff
Great experience from the moment I entered the front door. Being only a small hotel, they knew who I was immediately on arrival. The room was beautifully furnished and the bathroom amazing - elegantly designed, very spacious and using local brand Charlotte Rhys toiletries which gave a fine touch. There was also a purified water source which is a nice plus. The only draw back was being a small hotel it was very difficult to book, so must book well in advance! The room safe was a little old, which for a country so concerned with security this was a small drawback on first arrival, though it worked properly.

Awesome
Staff. comfort, location
This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. I love the heated bathroom floor and towel rail. Nkosi is an amazing wonderful manager who is friendly and caring and will go out of his way to assist where he can. In a nutshell if you are looking for a wonderful deal. The Sugar Hotel is it!
