Fabulous family run place
We booked four nights with our six month old son and ended up staying over a week. The place is simple with essential amenities and a great view. Suka and family feel in love with our son and more or less adopted him for the week. We really felt at home and there a&e some great little eateries nearby to keep us going.

Our visit
Operated by a family group who are polite and helpful. Stayed in the second bungalow which needs the bathroom updated as very basic and has salt water to shower with. Toilet could do with some privacy. There are very steep steps to climb to the bedroom. There is no fridge in the room to have cool drinks. You need to walk along the beach or lane to obtain food and drinks. Owner organised snorkeling which was great as it was a local and just the 3 of us. Very basic accommodation.

Excellent for the price
Cheap, clean, right on the beach, close to restaurants and dive shops, adorable bungalows, best scrambled eggs ever... what more could you want?! I've stayed here twice and would come back any time.

Good for who like Roots
Beach front which is good, the family that runs the place is nice. But i had problem with the salty water and the darkness of the place. They also have a greating chill area under the bungalow.

Unspoilt GEM
My stay at Suka Beach Bungalow was surprisingly blissful and divine. I stayed in the Natural Bungalow for 7 nights which was nice and it has air-con, which helped during hot days. I believe not all the bungalows has air-con. The bathroom is outside which was nice at night, watching the stars and moon while having a shower was an experience and a half. I loved the sunset in the afternoons, its simply stunning! Everybody comes out to relax and/or play, especially the local kids. Such an enjoyable moment. The 2 brothers that own this place are very helpful and friendly. Made (pronounced MA-DEE) the in-house reflexologist is amazing. Worth every penny!!! I walked everywhere as I didn't know how to ride a scooter. Everything is close by which made it more convenient. I did hire a bicycle to get around the Island which I was able to achieve in 4.5hrs with stops at several places and having lunch at the Dream Beach Restaurant. I do recommend the following Warungs as they served the BEST local meals from 20,000 IDR and as we all know if the locals eat here it must be good. And they are right! Warung Gili - only open for dinner. This is on the main street next to Adimart (like a 7-eleven). If you like vegetables order Cap Cay which is chicken with vegetables stir fry. Also try the chicken fried rice...also amazing. If you like fried chicken, try Lalapan Ayam (Ayam is chicken). Please note this place gets really busy with locals ordering takeaways and so you might have a bit of wait.  I ate here every night. Warung Bu Candra - this is further down the road (towards south) again they serve amazing Cap Cay and Lalapan Ayam. I ate most of my lunch here. I did try other Warungs but the taste is just not there. Warung Gili and Warung Bu Candra has flavor in their dishes. Other places I recommend; Pisang Pisang - great place to have healthy meals and juices. However service is a little slow and meals are small. Blue Corner Dive - right next to Suka Beach Bungalow. Overall good
Overall we enjoyed our stay here & the staff were really friendly & helpful. My sister wanted an extra hammock so they brought her one from an empty bungalow & then the next day all 3 new bungalows had a brand new extra hammock underneath which we thought was really nice. The downside was the room was really dark even with all the lights on & also with the bathroom being downstairs outside it was a bit of a pain especially with the steep stairs. The water from the shower was salty which didn't make you feel that clean & left you a bit sticky until you put cream on. The water did get to a nice warm temperature though. Then the beds in the family room were one double bed & one single bed so 2 people had to squeeze into a small bed & the mattresses were rock solid. Didn't get a good nights sleep for 2 nights until I got used to it a bit. Also the room wasn't cleaned the whole time we were there so by the end of the 4 days our floor was covered in sand. Maybe the cleaners could sweep the floors if nothing else.

Suka beach... Perfect getaway
Really great vibe. The staff are extremely friendly. Great for a chat and always willing to help you with anything you need. Rooms are basic however tidy. Great location right on the beach. Highly recommend for a great experience on the island.

Terrible
It's a family business held by some very impolite man. The staff is the family so we thought they would be welcoming but it's all about trying to get the most money out of you. We had confused this bungalow with the Suka Nusa bungalow. The food was terrible. If you are desperately looking for something near the water this might suit you although the shells and rocks make it impossible to enjoy the water without hurting your feet. My friend had forgotten his pair of sunglasses in the bungalow while checking out and came back 10 minutes after to take them and the owner's wife had already taken them and gave him back the sunglasses very rudely. They also tried to charge us for a laundry they didn't do.
