Old style hotel

The size of the bed is very big for 1 person
very quiet stay. the breakfast is a la carte. good enough for the price. the shuttle service allows easy and free access to bali center. the rooms need updating and the bath are a little old. the shower heads are almost defective. the surrounding rice fields allow serenity in the place. the pathway is dimly lighted at night. the tv stations are very limited.

Quite with Rice Field outside
it iss a one-day short stay but we all like the rice field outside the hotel. it was like you were staying in a Bali temple. there is a school inside the hotel, so you can experience the local culture.

Hotel with tons of character

Old hotel with tons of character. Reminds you of the hayday of great rulers. Staff is doing their level best. Garden full of typical hindu statues, lovely pool. Lovely view of rice fields. Good breakfast. Tasty bread ( toast), real orange juice hot coffee, and a good version of the standard offers for breakfast, on top of that also yoghurt available- which I really appreciated.Offers free yoga classes in the morning and a free 15 minute footmassage...
Nice big room. Clean bedsheets and floors. But room itself could do with some thourough housekeeping. Bathroom was clean, hoever the walls must have been washed like a decade ago?? Good working AC. The view from these rooms was negatively influenced by this new building as well. Shame. The whole hotel has a bit of an "Indiana Jones"feel to it. The charm of the place makes you want to forget the not so clean walls and construction noice.

Lovely hotel with great service

great service, great environment for nature lover
hotel was well maintained and service was awesome. food was so-so and mosquito repellant is a must because it is located near the paddy fields. rooms were spacious and comfortable. for the price you pay, its definitely worth every single penny.

beautiful outside but low quality

lovely garden, traditional architecture
The hotel is located behind 2 buildings and cars are not allowed to pass those buildings. All have to walk ~100 m to reach the hotel compound. Most staff are teenagers. They are friendly. But their reply yes to your request does not mean they understand you d/t their English skill. The garden is lovely and well maintained. The room is well decorated but not clean. Water leak, broken faucet and dirty bath area were found. There are breakfast is set menu of your choice but it is small. In all, paying 4-star rate hotel is not worth for this place.

Crumbly historic building in need of TLC

Historic building with fabulus view of padi fields and surrounding area
Hotel room was very unusual! Room in two sections with bedroom section raised approx 3 feet higher than rest of floor with rickety step up. Beds creaked so much they woke us up every time we rolled over! Bathroom crawled with giant ants and had no water pressure so unable to use bath or shower. Very dim lighting also meant whole experience very disappointing. Despite beauty of setting would bot recommend this hotel until urgent updates are made to the general wear and tear of the fabric of the building.
Hotel Feature Tip: Don't stay there unless you are a yoga, green pancake eating vegetarian.

super friendly service and very nice rooms

free yoga classes , shuttle bus to centre , staff
we had a splendid time at the hotel - staff is super friendly and helpful - shuttle bus runs 4 times a day so no transport needed for Ubud central - very peaceful - nice garden setting - lots of activities you can choose from - would definitly come back!!!
Shopping Tip: Ubud market has good bargains - you need to come early to get good prices

Lovely hotel.

Close to ubud.
Will not complain at all but there is nothing special as well. It is a nice place to relax, small pool, internet is available. Food was good, staff were friendly.
