Lovely hotel and service but lack of cleanliness

Cost resonable, beautiful scene, nice location

Arrived at around 11-12am but still well served with welcome drink. Luggage is immediately picked up at the entrance. Didn't have the correct wall adapter and got one by just calling the operator, late night. Room was not as clean as expected. The bed/mattress seems to be sandy and sticky. Washroom was having some yellowish, due to aging? Breakfast was okay.
Restaurant Tip: Nice ribs and duck/chicken is served around the Ubud area.

'Olde Worlde' charm & comfort @ a budget price

Grand heritage building in luscious tropical gardens

Staff are amazing. Resort includes school for regional, disadvantaged children to learn hospitality skills. Extremely polite, enthusiastic service with a smile & genuine curiosity. Rooms the size of a small house. Lovely pool
Hotel Feature Tip: Engage the students in as much service as possible, incuding restaurant, massage, assistance with anything. They will oblige with great excitement

We had a massage at a spa, girls were laughing during the massage is was impossible to relax, we were told to pay in rupiah in the Spa, not in the reception, and it was 28 USD for the massage, although it had to be 25 USD. The hotel is old, it needs face lift. it is far away from Ubud center .

Authentic Bali experience

Friendly service

looked great from the outside, but the rooms were dark and need renovating. we had breakfast each day which was nice, but portions were small. the pool needed cleaning, as there was a slippery film on the bottom. the staff were really lovely and provided excellent service.

Old style hotel

The size of the bed is very big for 1 person

very quiet stay. the breakfast is a la carte. good enough for the price. the shuttle service allows easy and free access to bali center. the rooms need updating and the bath are a little old. the shower heads are almost defective. the surrounding rice fields allow serenity in the place. the pathway is dimly lighted at night. the tv stations are very limited.

Quite with Rice Field outside

it iss a one-day short stay but we all like the rice field outside the hotel. it was like you were staying in a Bali temple. there is a school inside the hotel, so you can experience the local culture.

Hotel with tons of character

Old hotel with tons of character. Reminds you of the hayday of great rulers. Staff is doing their level best. Garden full of typical hindu statues, lovely pool. Lovely view of rice fields. Good breakfast. Tasty bread ( toast), real orange juice hot coffee, and a good version of the standard offers for breakfast, on top of that also yoghurt available- which I really appreciated.Offers free yoga classes in the morning and a free 15 minute footmassage...

Nice big room. Clean bedsheets and floors. But room itself could do with some thourough housekeeping. Bathroom was clean, hoever the walls must have been washed like a decade ago?? Good working AC. The view from these rooms was negatively influenced by this new building as well. Shame. The whole hotel has a bit of an "Indiana Jones"feel to it. The charm of the place makes you want to forget the not so clean walls and construction noice.

Lovely hotel with great service

great service, great environment for nature lover

hotel was well maintained and service was awesome. food was so-so and mosquito repellant is a must because it is located near the paddy fields. rooms were spacious and comfortable. for the price you pay, its definitely worth every single penny.
