Somewhat disappointing
Helpful staff, good wireless
This was my first Indian hotel. Having read other reviews of this hotel describing it as better than average for the price I was somewhat surprised at what I found--it made me wonder how bad other Indian hotels would turn out to be. My room was quite dingy--not necessarily dirty, but very shabby. Bed was good though. TV was fine, and wireless was good. The toilet had an uncomfortable metal bracket sticking out from the back of the seat. The shower nozzle sprayed a few painful needles of water in various directions. There were small ants. For both my stays in this hotel they put me in the same room, It was noisy--every sound in the lobby came up the stairs and into my room clearly. Staff did their best to be helpful. Breakfast was hit-and-miss, better some days than others. There are probably much worse places around but I found Sun City mediocre at best. The Chennae Market area was interesting and Karol Bagh metro was not far away.

Bad location, Musty room
Friendly staff
We stayed at Suncity Hotel for 4 nights. The room was large and somewhat clean for India. The location is not good if you want to walk around. You also have to get a new password paper for the internet each day and enter it every time you go online. Room was dusty but passable. I would recommend staying in another part of the city. Tuk-Tuk warning! Check the Tuk Tuk and driver out before you get in. If he appears intoxicated or his tuk tuk is in bad shape with dents and is not clean GET AWAY AS FAST AS POSSIBLE! My wife and I learned the hard way and were in a bad accident from a driver who tried to scam us first with the price, then just started to give us an out of the way tour Once we realized he was high/drunk it was too late. You do not want to go to a hospital in India! Lesson learned: Older clean, clear eyed drivers with the nice shinny tuk tuks that they care about. If you look you'll see the differences.

Very basic hotel in a not so good location
not much
There was no heating here and they couldn't provide us a heater even when we asked. The hot water took ages to warm up and the water pressure was bad. Beds weren't that clean either. It is just a basic hotel, that's all.

A crappy hotel in a crappier part of town
Nothing good comes to mind
Freezing cold hotel (in winter) with no heating. You can see your breath in the "restaurant" and the lobby. There is no heater in the room. I tried (as well as a literal rocket scientist stay i might in the restaurant) for about thirty minutes to make the ac machine in the wall put out heat. There is no heat, and having caught a cold I requested a blanket. I had to request it three times, and the staff (who sit around doing nothing anyway) still took over an hour to bring me one. A tiny, this, far to narrow piece of worthless cloth. The bathroom was deplorable. The showerhead was some wonky contraption that, at least in my room, made the experience unbearable. Also the configuration of the room and the crazy showerhead soak the bathroom in water and there is nothing provided to remove the water. So freezing cold already, i had to step in a half of ice water every time i needed to make an emergency run to the toilet, which at that time, was often. Furthermore for the two of us they provided, and i am being serious it was written on the bottle, a meager 10 ml of shampoo and conditioner. good thing we brought our own. The breakfast was annoying, as i said it was freezing, and although it was set up like a breakfast bar this annoying guy wouldnt let you do anything yourself, and just kept touching all your food with his hands when he retrieved it for you. thanks dude, so glad you are here. Wifi is free for an hour, then you have to pay. The signal was too weak in my room to work, and i couldnt get it to work in the lobby either (being the 8th hotel I had been to in a row in india, and having used wifi at all of them, i dont think it was my device with the problem) Also, karol bagh is a terrible area. prepare to be hassled to oblivion if you are white skinned. I mean, if you walk in any direction for two minutes you will have a crown following you and shouting at you to give them this or buy that.
