Nice Budget Hotel

spacious, location and staff
The place is a little old and the elevator is too small. It strikes me as "Creepy" like some place taken from a horror movie. Considering my need to rest, this hotel delivers though. As for the bathroom, it needs an overhaul. The tub is dirty but all of this is compensated by the friendly and quick-on-their-feet staff. Overall, I rate them 2.5 to 3 stars.

Pros outweigh the cons in my opinion

2BR suite for groups or family was good value for money, free breakfast, pool was nice
I had low expectations due to the bad reviews but overall we enjoyed our stay. Upon checkin we immediately checked the room facilities, hot water, tv/cable, aircon, toilet flush and reported if any fixtures were needed to be looked at. They immediately sent someone to check for the defective lamp at the living room though not sure if they were able to fix it. The room was huge and although there were no complimentary water bottles, one can refill at the lobby or call for them to bring hot water upon request. They were not accommodating initially in extending our checkout time for about an hour (despite us having checked in late the night before) but gave in eventually after having a friendly chat. I agree that some fixtures need to be fixed or updated (door a little bit hard to open with key, faucets, leak under the toilet sink, cabinet drawer falling apart, even the folder with welcome message already ripped) but not a dealbreaker for me. I would still recommend this place and would consider staying here again in the future because of the value for money.

Sunrise Holiday Mansion Hotel
Ants and insects in beds, smelly rooms, old and not well maintained facilities, no hot water, bad sales department not contactable. All bad!! I had rashes and was sick after my stay the next day. Stay away from this hotel. I want a refund of my money. Its not worth it

The Staff, Food and with Pool
I expect a better room with a view and bathtub as stated in the room details but i was given other room without them instead. The room is decent and comfortable though, a studio type condo looking room. I overheard the other foreign family staying in the hotel complaining about the smell in their room but my room doesn't smell so maybe it depends on each room. Don't expect much here as they charged less than the other hotel. What I like about my stay is the food in the Bistro and the pool. Overall, I find my stay pleasant.

New Year's Eve Stay

The best thing is the size of the room and the price I paid for it.
The hotel is a little bit run down and quite a distance from the normal tourist destinations in Tagaytay. The staff did not help with unloading the baggage from the car. I was surprised to be asked for a P2,000 cash deposit upon check-in. We were later told that there would be fireworks display at night. That evening, there was a slight drizzle. They could not decide if the fireworks would be cancelled or not. Finally, they pushed through with the fireworks and that made my daughter's day!

Overall Good.

Peaceful. Serene.
Good value for money. However, the place is very far from the city proper. Quiet difficult to travel during the night because the roads that we passed by doesnt have street lights. But if you are looking for spacious hotel, serene location this is good place. Just to add about the building structure, its quite old but clean.
