A lover's nest in the outskirts of Hatyai

Great room, convenience store just next door
The moment we arrived, we realised it was not really a tourist hotel. We found out later that locals go there for a night with their lovers as all the cars parked were Thai cars. Fortunately, it was a lovely room - and since it was a Valentine getaway for us, it was apt. The hotel is located 8 minutes by tuk tuk from Hatyai town (there's no way you can walk), and seeing that we are tourist, not every tuk tuk driver would charge us the normal rate. Most times, tuk tuks from the city charged us exorbitant rates when they knew we needed to go to the outskirts(ish) area. Though to be fair, they would probably not pick up passengers from there hence they wanted to cover their loss. (Though some rates are triple or more the fair rate) By and by, the money we spent on traveling to the town could have been spent on getting a nicer 3 star hotel in the town itself. On the other hand, it was quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the town if that is what you are looking for. The service is good and the staff is friendly and can speak a smattering of English. We felt they were really nice people. Wifi- couldn't be detected for some reason so we had no internet at the hotel. Fortunately, there was a cyber cafe within walking distance and it costed only 15Baht for an hour. Coffee making facilities is not provided and we have to order it from room service for 30 Baht per cup. But it was okay as the coffee tasted good! We opted for this hotel as most hotels we looked up were fully booked as it was peak season during Chinese New Year holidays. So we appreciated getting a room. On future vacations, we would probably opt for getting a place in the town itself instead.
