friendly staff, near the beach, car parking
we stayed during Songkran festival 2015. We booked 2 rooms. The rooms were old, not quite clean and the worst thing was the water from shower was very slow and came out just little. comparing with hotels in Phuket, we can have a lot better than this.

great location

Location, pool
Mixed feelings about this resort, the location is great, on the beach and central Khao Lak, so its good if you dont have a car, the pool is also good, the staff were friendly and our room was kept clean with fresh smelling bed linen, good live music 3 times a week from the Canadian couple who are trying to give the place a lift On the down side, the whole building and dining area have been left to long without maintenance, loose taps, lifting tiles etc, and is a little shabby in areas, it would not take to much of work (or money)for this resort to be a 3star, at this time it should have a 2 star rating, i do hope this happens as we enjoyed our stay there as it is a very relaxing place. look forward to upgrades and return visit. ps good for sunsets

ok value but oldish

central location, good breakfast, nice entertainment
All accomodations are pricey in this area, in that point of view this is a relative affordable place though still bit overpriced. The room we got was smelly which is not inviting at all. The aircon is so so, you need to keep it running while being away to keep the room at acceptable temperature. Room is quite large and comes with fridge and water cooker so that is nice. We wanted to change rooms at arrival and staff was not helpful with that: we had to find out the previous guest of our new room was still relaxing in the pool, we had to pass over the key of the new room to him (which we didnt) and had to call the cleaners ourselves to make up the room! Unbelievable. In the meantime we had to feed our 3 months old baby and keep our toddler busy in an overheated room, just amazing. Cleaning staff is lovely and helpful. Restaurant is good and entertainment is great! Don't forget to go to white sand beach while being in khao lak.

1. proximity to beach 2. the italian restaurant on the street 3. the pool
our stay was ok - but only because we all overcome disappointment easily, and were determined to enjoy our time at Khao Lak. The entire hotel is very badly decorated in a depressing brown. The rooms are dark and uninviting. There are not enough power outlets and we needed to unplug the fridge and the TV in order to charge phones/ipads. Only one bedside light for two twin beds, and that was unreachable from one of the beds.... the food at the 'restaurant' where breakfast was served was really very poor, and the staff were miserable, and we walked to nearby cafes to get something decent. Sorry to be so negative, but you did ask.....

Good value

Position, value and staff
We had an enjoyable family holiday which considering it was the new year period was not expensive. The hotel was clean and comfortable, if a little outdated. The food was fine and the staff friendly, we would go again.

Need more renovation

Good location next to beach
The hotell is old and the owners do not invest anything to update. Most important the rom and pool is clean and location is great next to beach. Our shower did not work proparly in the two weeks we stayed. They had no edjucated people to fix or repair. Staff are not trained proparly and they often forgott towels and toilet paper even we gave good tips. So liitle to invest in equipement and training to staff the the hotell will get better raiting

Hotel needs refurbishment

1) Location good 2)Room Large 3) Staff friendly
I thought the hotel offered a good deal. However, I will unlikely be a return customer. The cons out weigh the pros. Pros Within walking distance to food, massage and dive/tour operators Room large - ample space for luggage Has a Balcony (2 chairs and a table) and 2 chairs and a coffee table in the room. A swimming Pool to chill and cool down in Cons Bed not comfortable - spring sticking out and bed sinks in the middle Water pressure almost non-existence for shower and toilet Mouldy smell - I suffered allergies Beach area looks dirty. Sand black
