Enjoyed my time here. Stayed in a 6 bed form. Very comfortable. Good Wifi and clean bathrooms. Nice communal area and a some breakfast of toast in the mornings.

Friendly and clean place!

It was a pleasant couple of days. Very close to metro station, Chinatown, and temples. Staff/owner were friendly and helpful. Wifi was great. Breakfast could be improved. Bathrooms were clean, although one ceiling fell through and water sometimes did not work. Could be improved with hot shower option.

The room was clean and comfortable, you do need your own blankets though. Any backpacker should have a sleeping bag with them anyway but be warned the blankets they supply are only good for bed sheets. Also be sure to ask the password before leaving the first time, they seem to forget to tell people that. Staff were helpful and available 24 hours, location is great, very cheap for KL, toast is available for breakfast if you're so inclined, 711 across the road, bottled water is cheap, showers are hot, bed is comfy enough for a bunk, bathrooms are cleaned daily.

Nice enough but really cramped rooms. The lockers would never have been large enough to fit a backpack so don't expect too much but good enough for the price.

An overall good place!

Everything was good! No complains whatsoever except that power outlets in the rooms were not efficient(not enough or far out of reach from the bed), and the dorm rooms are kinda packed and narrow..

It's ok but customer reviews are overrated

The owner, the location, the wifi
5.7
Upon first arriving the guy at the front desk was not helpful. He did not introduce is to the hostel, give us the door key code, show us around, wifi code... Nothing. The hostel has no natural light. This all started off our stay poorly. We stayed 2 nights and it got better. The owner is fantastic and I think he would have been ashamed of the staff member that checked us in. He is very helpful for planning your day in KL and with help around Malaysia. And he speaks English very well. The wifi is very relatable. As with the rest of Malaysia, you are expected to remove shoes before entering. I think there should be some communal slippers to wear for the bathrooms. In all the place is pretty average. I think the overhyped reviews were a factor in my disappointment. It is still a fine place, but go in thinking that is is a better than average hostel but not amazing.

We just fell in love with this guesthouse, with its excellent location that will only get even better once the subway stop at Pasar Senei is finished - which is right in front on the corner of the guest house. The staff was amazing, the security and safety was terrific, the overall flow and time management of the hotel was great for international travelers trying to get sleep yet also manage their jet lag, the coffee and snacks available at all hours was wonderful, and the staff did everything they could to make everyone feel welcome and happy. We loved the staff and the location, and went all over Malaysia and KL to different places, using the Guesthouse as a home base. It was perfect for us, a great value, so so so so so clean, a professional staff, and a great experience. Super overall, and we will be back and will recommend the guest house often!

Front desk staff was helpful despite me getting in around 1 am. Room was clean. Can't really comment on much else as I just came into to the city to eat and sleep before my flight the next day.
