Fantastic peaceful getaway! Great location walking distance to the Monkey Forest and main st but still quiet within grounds. Breakfast a strange new experience but generous. Awesome rooms - traditional balinese style, would recommend getting a bungalow away from main reception area, we were in Nyomen room which is next to receptin and currently right next to a building site so sleeps during the day were not too pleasant. Oh and AWESOME spa :) love love love the massage and bath!

Beautiful place
Beautiful place, delicious food and wonderful spa. We got around on scooter so was lovely to stay a short ride from all the busyness of the centre. Thanks for a great stay.

We loved Swasti
We loved our stay - the perfect retreat while we spent our days at the Bali Spirit Festival..! Especially the amazing food and smoothies.. both breakfast and dinners were always delicious, we actually didn't eat anywhere else..! Location was fine, a quick, easy walk into town, the path followed the Monkey Forest, so always entertaining. Rooms were spacious and clean.. there are lots of bugs, and these often ended up in our room (cute, harmless geckos.. and irritating ants & mosquitos) - but when you're located in a garden as beautiful as the ones that surround you, it wasn't a surprise, just make sure you pack insect repellent - or use the hotels home made remedy :) Their eco approach to cooking and general recycling was wonderful. We would definitely return.

We loved everything about this place. The cottages and rooms are within a huge tropical garden, where a lot of the produce used at the organic cafe is being grown. There are sheep, goats, chickens and rabbits within the complex, which is naturally very interesting for the kids. Our 'traditional room' was - just like everything else -tastefully decorated with love and care and super clean. It was big enough and came with a very spacious balcony, overlooking a little garden and the cafe. The buffet-style breakfast was by far the best we came across in Bali and it's all organic and home-made. The other meals we had at the cafe were tasty, however I could do with larger portions sometimes. I especially liked their sustainable and thoughtful approach; plastic is being avoided wherever possible, rubbish recycling is expected and well explained, they don't use any chemical cleaning products and you are being provided with a 25l water tank in your room, so you can fill up your bottle, instead of buying new plastic bottles all the time. What a great idea! Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Swasti, also thanks to the wonderful staff, who were always lovely and especially nice to our 12 months old son.

Lovely stay, a bit of paradise outside the beach
Cottage, food, location
After Kuta, where we rushed out, this was a place where we could breathe again. The room felt like it should be in Bali, luxuries for the foreign traveller, but look and feel of Bali. The food was organic and mostly produced at the cottages garden. The portions however were a bit small for us, but dessert always made up for that. The total place was lovely for little adventures, roaming the garden, checking upon the sheep and than relaxing on the sit down pillows in the restaurant or in front of your room. From the location it was an easy stroll past monkey forest to the centre, which oozed traditional handicraft and lovely hazzle free shopping. Around Ubud there is enough to see. In the mornings there were yoga classes. The pool was lovely, surrounded by plants, where we could see the squirrels playing. We're there aints, yes, Mosquitos, also, but not in unusual numbers for the area of Ubud.

We loved staying at Swasti!
The rooms and grounds were decorated with flowers every day. The organic food was great plus they had lots of options. The staff were so friendly and helpful.
Our stay was wonderful! We loved the organic food, the yoga and spa. Even when we had a huge bug or gecko in our room, the staff took care of it quickly. We stayed there for 7 nights then went to Seminyak for the remainder of our trip. We realized how spoiled we were at Swasti. Highly recommend!

Eco = rats and bugs
food was okay. Staff was pleasant.
Was up one whole night because a rat was chewing through the roof over my bed. I realize we are in the jungle but expected way more for the money.
